I received a couple questions about the pattern for the gift card pocket. This is the easiest way for me to share the pattern. This is a quick and easy pocket to make once you have the pattern. The dashed lines are score lines and the straight lines are cut lines. You'll want to cut off the tabs at the bottom outside edges to make it easier to fold up the bottom flap. Once you have it scored, you'll want to punch out the half circle at … [Read more...] about Gift Card Pocket Pattern

Hobby Haven
If you have friends or family members that are into hobbies, but you don't know what specifically to get them, gift cards towards their hobbies are always welcome. And if you're giving a gift card, then you need a gift card envelope! The Hobby Haven Suite is perfect for many different types of hobbies and collections. This time I'm using the easel and paint palette. The easel comes blank and I added the "just for you". When you use a … [Read more...] about Hobby Haven
Making Your Own Background
One of the cards I shared Monday used the full-sized background die. It makes an amazing frame of pine boughs overlapping the interior of the frame. This is the die I'm referring to. Once you die cut the frame, you end up with a funny looking reverse image, or the inside piece from the frame. You can take that inside piece and use it to make a fabulous background. First, you'll want to center it over your card stock that you're going to … [Read more...] about Making Your Own Background
New At SU-Winter Owl
Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing gift card and gift certificate holders. I used the Winter Owl stamp set for my card today. For my gift card holder, I made a z-fold card. With a z-fold, the front panel is folded in half so when standing the card looks like a backwards Z. I've seen … [Read more...] about New At SU-Winter Owl

Blackberry Beauty
Several weeks ago, I found an idea online for a project that looks like a mini hardcover book and inside was a box. I loved the idea of a mini book that was also a gift or treat holder. I can't find the name of the person who first posted it because it was so long ago, but I still wanted to share the project. This is the front cover of the book. I love the owl from the ephemera pack. I don't know why, but it reminds me of Harry Potter. … [Read more...] about Blackberry Beauty
Peekaboo!
Continuing with sharing projects from our recent Demonstrator meeting... today I'm featuring a project designed by Lyndi. I love these cute little critters from the Peekaboo Farm stamp set. This set features five different animals that peek out from behind this wall. Or you could have them peeking out from behind some other object as well. Lyndi's project is actually a small gift box, using one of our Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes. These boxes are … [Read more...] about Peekaboo!
You waited til the last minute…
And you bought all gift cards instead of presents. So now you're wondering how to make them look fabulous instead of giving them away in a cheesy plain envelope. I've got just the solution. Grab a stack of our Gold Mini Pizza boxes and get wrapping. These gold boxes are so pretty and they really don't need a lot of decoration. I like to wrap mine with a band of pattern paper. Then all of my decorations get attached to the pattern paper and not … [Read more...] about You waited til the last minute…
