While I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw a party set-up with these mini domed charcuterie trays filled with cheeses and fruit. These mini cheese trays are only about 4" across to give you an idea of how tiny they are. I thought this domed tray would be perfect for a mini diorama. I used the Humble Home stamp and punch bundle to make a 3D house. To make sure everything stayed in place inside, I cut a piece of vellum and glued both the … [Read more...] about Instagram Strikes Again

Holiday Card
Here we are down to the last few days of the September-December Catalog, and I realized that I hadn't posted the card that I mailed out for the Holidays. I kept it really simple this year. Although after I started making them, I realized that I had to hand-cut the penguins for all the cards. Oh, boy! This is the last weekend to purchase items from the September-December Catalog. Be sure to check out the Last Chance List to get those items … [Read more...] about Holiday Card
Christmas Ornament
For more than ten years, I've been making ornaments for a group of girlfriends. It's become quite the tradition. I gift wrap them and give them out at our Christmas dinner. Here is this year's ornament. I love making these snow globe ornaments because I can add lots of layers and a sprinkling of snow. A few years ago I found the perfect stand to hold all of these handmade ornaments. Here's what they look like all together. After … [Read more...] about Christmas Ornament
Book Boxes
One of the nicest things in the September-December Catalog is the Book Boxes treat boxes. These boxes come plain white and you can decorate them however you like. Here's mine decorated. You can also decorate the inside of the boxes too. The strap n the boxes come with a bit of adhesive on them but I wanted to be able to open and close my box. I added the snow globe on the front with pop dots. The strap then slides under the snow globe … [Read more...] about Book Boxes
Snowy Wonder
Have you started working on your Holiday cards? It's still early December so there is plenty of time to make your own cards and drop them in the mail. I love using our pattern paper to achieve a quick result. I could have used our stamps and dies to make the snow globe, but I used a cut-out from our paper instead. It saved a lot of time and the card is just as nice as if I'd stamped it. The Snowy Scenes Suite is a full Suite of products … [Read more...] about Snowy Wonder

All Your Days
I love creating Holiday home decor pieces. Every year, I get them out and place them around my home, remembering past times creating these goodies. Today's project is a shadowbox frame using that amazing reindeer die from the Reindeer Days Suite. The reindeer die has three different reindeers to cut out to achieve the full reindeer look. I've used this die for several projects and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. The reindeer is just … [Read more...] about All Your Days
Making Your Own Background
One of the cards I shared Monday used the full-sized background die. It makes an amazing frame of pine boughs overlapping the interior of the frame. This is the die I'm referring to. Once you die cut the frame, you end up with a funny looking reverse image, or the inside piece from the frame. You can take that inside piece and use it to make a fabulous background. First, you'll want to center it over your card stock that you're going to … [Read more...] about Making Your Own Background
