This Wednesday is the April Card Class! We're going to work in a few quick Easter projects before the weekend so you'll be all ready for this Sunday! The first is a Mini Garden Flag. The class fee does not include the flag holder, but I do have a couple extra on hand if you'd like to purchase one for $5.00. The second item is the adorable Easter basket. And don't worry, you won't go home with an empty basket. I have the grass, plastic egg, and … [Read more...] about April Card Class

Sometimes you've just gotta make a start and not wait for the perfect opportunity to arise. I can assure you that the *perfect* opportunity will never happen. Instead, carve out five minutes for yourself and just give it a shot. It has been so hectic around here this Fall that I really don't know where the time has gone. If you look at my earlier posts, the kids were still in Elementary School. We've now moved on to High School and Middle … [Read more...] about It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas
[singlepic id=1 w=320 h=240 float=] There is always so much anticipation around the new Stampin Up catalog. What did they keep? What's brand new? I decided to play with some new products - the new In Colors, a new stamp set, and washi tape. Washi tape is so much fun. It's so cute and comes in tons of colors and patterns and is fairly inexpensive. Such an easy add-on to your purchase. A number of people have asked me: what do you use it for? If … [Read more...] about New Catalog, New Toys!
Here's the finished card. The cardstock is Naturals White. I misted the entire background, and the two Newsprint flags. I die cut another piece of the Naturals white the Apothecary Accents die. Then stamped the sentiment "Life is a Daring Adventure" in Gumball Green. In real life, the diecut piece really stands out from the misted background. I also used the Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons - whoa, these are thick. And the new In … [Read more...] about Ta-Da!
Here's the second part of the card - piercing your paper! Here's what you'll need: The Stampin Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Pack, and the Paper-Piercing Tool. The Paper-Piercing Pack comes with three different template sheets with all sorts of shapes to coordinate with our dies and punches. You can see in the picture that it comes with a pre-printed outline on the template so you can line it up with your punched piece. I have it … [Read more...] about Paper Piercing
I really had a tough time with deciding how to present this card. Do I show you the finished card first, and then all the individual steps to make it? Or the pieces and then the grand finale being the finished card? I think I'll show you the "pieces" first, starting with misting. I LOVE being able to make my own mist in whatever color I like. I can make mists to match my Stampin Up carstocks, inks, ribbons, embellishments. And … [Read more...] about Misting
