I've got one last project for you using the Butterfly Kisses Suite. I saw an idea online using one of the wing dies from the suite to make some hearts on a card. I thought it was a pretty clever idea. I die cut nine of the wings out of our watercolor paper. Then I water colored each one in each of the nine colors I picked out. I love the rainbow look. It's so colorful and happy. These are the nine colors I used. I love stretching … [Read more...] about One Last Butterfly

Tulip Wreath
A few weeks ago when I was working on some other projects using the Tulips Suite, I die cut a bunch of the tulip flowers in different colors. I also cut out the windmill with the plans to use them on a card. Well, it turned out everything together was way too big for a card. So everything sat on my desk in a little pile until I figured out what to make with it. One of my local stores sells these 6" plain wreaths that you can decorate. Merry
I was at a local craft store not too long ago and came across these inexpensive wood frames in their discount bin. I thought they'd be great for crafting. I wanted to keep this simple so I left the frame the natural wood rather than painting it. I cut my pattern paper to fit the inside of the frame. I do find with inexpensive frames like this, you really want to cut to fit it as they tend not to be a standard measurement. The green pattern … [Read more...] about Merry
Framed Floral Squares
Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing my final project (for now) using the Floral Square dies. I had an older shadowbox frame in my living room and I decided it was time to change it out. This combines both the subtle background plus a pop of color. The yellow and the red match my living room decor and paint colors. It really is a simple looking project, but I like the clean look. And when I tire of it, I can easily replace it. Do you … [Read more...] about Framed Floral Squares
Painted Poppies Class
At the last scrapbook retreat that I worked, I designed a fun class for some of the attendees to make. This is a wood easel stand that I painted white. For the class, they received an unpainted easel so they have the option to leave it natural wood or paint it themselves. This home decor piece ended up being fairly popular, but I still have a few kits left. Everything is already die cut, but you will need the stamp sets to go with it. If … [Read more...] about Painted Poppies Class
EEEK!
Did you know you can make a countdown calendar for just about anything? Like counting down to a special birthday, or a special occasion, or a holiday, or even the last day of school. I have several different countdown calendars that I've used through the years. One of my favorites is our vacation countdown calendar. The kids loved this one when they were little because they could see that number getting smaller every single day, which meant we … [Read more...] about EEEK!
A Trip Down Magnolia Lane…
One of the perks of being a Stampin Up Demonstrator is getting early access to new products. I love that I can order supplies in advance so I can get started playing with new things right away. My number one item from the new Catalog that starts on June 4th is the Magnolia Lane Suite. Yes, the entire Suite. Stampin Up did an incredible job on this Suite making sure everything coordinated beautifully. Since they arrived a few weeks ago, the … [Read more...] about A Trip Down Magnolia Lane…
