Happy Friday! This past Wednesday, I shared a beautiful card using the Hydrangea Hill Suite of products. You can see that card here. I really liked the design of the card, but wanted to do a different version. Using one of the pattern papers as inspiration, I recreated the card in pinks. I also changed it from a vertical card to a horizontal card. In purple or pink, I think these hydrangeas are so pretty. Do you ever copy your own … [Read more...] about Pink Hydrangeas
The Hydrangea Hill Suite is pretty amazing. The combination of the pattern paper, stamp set, dies, and embellishments all work together so amazingly well. Today's card has lots of layers and lots of die cutting. To make the flower on the card, I stated with stamping the outline. Then stamped the leaves and flower shading. Then the small die cut flowers are glued to the center of the flower. You can see just a hint of the Mercury Glass … [Read more...] about Amazing Things
This coming Sunday will be Easter here in the US. Last year, we skipped Easter celebrations due to Covid. I miss family gatherings. Hopefully, with the vaccine now more plentiful, we'll be able to gather soon. I couldn't let Easter pass without making some adorable treats. These are the fabulous Love You Always Treat Boxes. The boxes are a nice size for some special Easter treats. Making treat boxes like this is very simple. All it takes … [Read more...] about Happy Easter!
I was reminded this last weekend that next Sunday is Easter. And tomorrow is April! Oh my goodness! How did that happen?!? The year is already racing by. The good news.. I had enough foresight to know I would need an Easter stamp. The bad news... I just used it for the first time yesterday. Ugh! Fortunately, the stamp set Springtime Joy is for more than just Easter. Sure the set has a cute bunny, an adorable chick, and this sweet little … [Read more...] about Springtime Joy
The first official day of Spring was this past Saturday. And with the recent Day Light Savings time change, I'm looking forward to longer sunny days. I love that feeling of the warmth on my skin as I sit outside on my patio in the evening. Today I'm sharing my Spring Sampler which is a mix of rain, birds chirping, and flowers growing. Our Spring in SoCal usually starts out rainy. I usually don't mind the rain too much. You've got to have a … [Read more...] about Spring Sampler
This little pup is all ready to party! He's hoping there will be cake and ice cream for everyone, specially him. Just look at his sweet smile. Today's card combines my two loves, pups and ice cream. The pup is from the new stamp set, Hot Dog. This set has three awesome pups to choose from and a variety of accessories and sayings perfect for just about any occasion. The pattern paper and confetti sprinkles are from the Ice Cream Corner Suite. … [Read more...] about Hot Dog!
Sometimes when I'm working on a card, I can't make a decision on how I want it to look. For this card, I really wanted to use the new gilded flakes product. To adhere the gilded flakes, I used my adhesive sheet on top of the card stock, then die cut out the word "just", peel up the adhesive backing, and add the gilded flakes. I used a sponge to brush off the excess flakes and this is how it looked. Then I thought, maybe the gold is too much. … [Read more...] about This or That?
Stampin Up does a great job with floral stamps. Every time they come out with another one, I tell myself I don't need another floral stamp set. And then somehow, someway it makes its way into my cart anyway. I can't explain... it just mysteriously happens. :) One of the prettiest floral sets in the January to June Catalog is the Fine Art Floral Suite. This Suite has everything... stamps, dies, pattern paper, acetate sheets, sparkly ribbon, and … [Read more...] about Fine Art Floral Suite
