If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you already know that I was selected to be one of the stampers that made projects for display at OnStage. I was truly honored to be selected. And humbled when I met the other artists and realized that a number of them are current and previous Artisan Award winners. My assignment for the display projects was to make 20 items focusing on the five 2015-17 In Colors. We were to make one 3D, one scrapbook … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
Every year, Stampin Up comers out with a new Annual Idea Book & Catalog. This means we get tons of new goodies every year. Yay! This also means that we lose tons of goodies every year to make room for those new products. Boo! The Retirement list was released on Monday 4/18. I've now had a chance to go through it and I'm seriously going to miss some of these products that are going away. Ugh. In honor of the retiring list, I'm sharing in no … [Read more...] about The Retirement List is Here

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that Stampin Up was promoting getting back into the habit of mailing birthday cards (you can read that post here). It kind of seems like an obvious thing, considering we are in the business of promoting hand made cards. I know I'm guilty of doing the quickie FB "happy birthday" greeting like so many others and very few cards actually get mailed out. In honor of Stampin Up pushing promoting birthday cards, I invited … [Read more...] about Did You Sign Up for A Birthday Card?
Today's Five Minute Friday is my final swap that I took to OnStage. This card looks small because it is! It's a 3x3 notecard size. This swap is specifically for 3x3 notecards so we are all trading the same mini creations. This rose is from the Picture Perfect stamp set. This rose is a 3-step stamp. It has three separate stamps with different layers of petals and you stamp each one in a slightly different color to get the shading effect. … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
For today’s work it Wednesday, I’m reviewing the Heat Tool. This ties in beautifully with another one of my swaps for OnStage. The Heat Tool is $30. It melts embossing powder and Heat & Stick Powder. The Stampin Up Heat Tool is slim, sleek, quiet, and easy to hold. It has 2 heat settings: low for drying ink, high for heat-setting powder. It also has a protective plastic tip to cover the hot metal end. The Heat Tool is must-have item for … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Heat Tool
Only two more sleeps until I leave for OnStage on Wednesday! Yay! This week, I'm sharing my swaps that I'm taking with me to OnStage. I have to be honest...making swaps this year was a little tricky. In past years, the retiring products list would come out weeks before we left and we'd get a small preview list that we could purchase from prior to Convention. This year, the retiring products list comes out after Convention - same with the … [Read more...] about Happy Monday!
Today’s cards uses the Birthday Bouquet Suite. I love the colors used in the Birthday Bouquet Pattern Paper - Blushing Bride, Mossy Meadow, and Mint Macaron! The paper is so pretty that I almost don't want to cover it up. I love the clean look of the white background on a card, but sometimes it looks too bare. Using washi tape or a border pattern helps to fill up some of that space. And by using muted colors, it won't be overwhelming on … [Read more...] about Five Minute Fri-Yay!
