I've been trying to make a conscious effort to keep my studio less cluttered and to get things put away when I'm done with them. So, when I finish project, I get all the stamps put back in their box, all the dies and punches put away in their home as well. Occasionally, I end up with stamped leftover pieces or cut/punched paper. Sometimes I'm tempted to just toss them. It's just paper which is so inexpensive. Sometimes, I think, that's just … [Read more...] about Who Wants Leftovers?
I hate to say it, but we are quickly approaching the end of another Annual Catalog. Our current Annual Catalog is ending May 3rd and we'll be saying goodbye to lots of great products. As we prepare to move to a new Annual Catalog, Stampin Up just released their Last Chance List on what will be going away. There are so many good things retiring that I'm truly going to miss... All the 2019-21 In Color products: inks, refills, … [Read more...] about Last Chance Warning!
March's Paper Pumpkin kit is so cool, I could not wait to put it together. First, let's start with that amazing box. I love the sun and the trees on the box. And, that bright yellow is just so warm and sunny. The kit makes eight cards, four each of two designs. The cards are a beautiful outdoorsy theme. March is our Anniversary kit and included some cool extras. The kit included those four stencils you see above, plus the sponge for using … [Read more...] about March Paper Pumpkin
The first official day of Spring was this past Saturday. And with the recent Day Light Savings time change, I'm looking forward to longer sunny days. I love that feeling of the warmth on my skin as I sit outside on my patio in the evening. Today I'm sharing my Spring Sampler which is a mix of rain, birds chirping, and flowers growing. Our Spring in SoCal usually starts out rainy. I usually don't mind the rain too much. You've got to have a … [Read more...] about Spring Sampler

Sometimes when I'm working on a card, I can't make a decision on how I want it to look. For this card, I really wanted to use the new gilded flakes product. To adhere the gilded flakes, I used my adhesive sheet on top of the card stock, then die cut out the word "just", peel up the adhesive backing, and add the gilded flakes. I used a sponge to brush off the excess flakes and this is how it looked. Then I thought, maybe the gold is too much. … [Read more...] about This or That?
Stampin Up does a great job with floral stamps. Every time they come out with another one, I tell myself I don't need another floral stamp set. And then somehow, someway it makes its way into my cart anyway. I can't explain... it just mysteriously happens. :) One of the prettiest floral sets in the January to June Catalog is the Fine Art Floral Suite. This Suite has everything... stamps, dies, pattern paper, acetate sheets, sparkly ribbon, and … [Read more...] about Fine Art Floral Suite
I'm doing my best to use all the goodies I purchased from the January-June Catalog. And one I haven't spent a lot of time on is the Hydrangea Hill Suite. Oh my goodness, the pattern paper is just gorgeous in this Suite. Plus, look at how well the flower stamps. It's designed to give all the beautiful shading to the flower without a lot of work. The matching die set includes dies to cut out all the individual petals if you want to make your … [Read more...] about Hydrangea Hill
