I actually haven't done any baking yet this year. Usually by now, I've made my rum cake at least once and usually some cookies too. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to make something before the holidays. I found a card similar to this one but it used Valentine's stamps and dies. I thought it would be a fun card to recreate as a Holiday card. The Homemade Treats bundle is filled with lots of little baking treats and accessories. I used the … [Read more...] about Tis The Season

Special Delivery
It's the little village that does it. There's a whole sheet of little village scenes in the patten paper. I love all these little shop buildings. The pattern paper has the shops in handy dandy strips, which allows you to easily cute them apart and use a strip at a time. This Suite was my favorite from the September-December Catalog when it came out. I've had it for weeks and weeks. I really had to hold myself back from breaking out the … [Read more...] about Special Delivery
Gathering Moments
The Gathering Moments bundle is one of the items from our Online Exclusives. Our Online Exclusives are items that are released online rather than in one of our catalogs. Stampin Up started releasing extra products online a couple years ago. This means they can release more new products every year. Hooray! I typically select one Fall themed bundle each year and this is the one I chose. At the time, I didn't realize the large leaf dies are … [Read more...] about Gathering Moments
Holiday Card
Here we are down to the last few days of the September-December Catalog, and I realized that I hadn't posted the card that I mailed out for the Holidays. I kept it really simple this year. Although after I started making them, I realized that I had to hand-cut the penguins for all the cards. Oh, boy! This is the last weekend to purchase items from the September-December Catalog. Be sure to check out the Last Chance List to get those items … [Read more...] about Holiday Card
Do You Do This Too?

Even with the best of intentions, I always seem to be putting mine in the mail right before Christmas. I've been busy making Christmas cards this week. I'm hoping to have them done in the next couple days so I can have them in the mail before Christmas Eve. Wish me luck! Reindeer Fun Bundle (English) … [Read more...] about Do You Do This Too?
Snowy Wonder
Have you started working on your Holiday cards? It's still early December so there is plenty of time to make your own cards and drop them in the mail. I love using our pattern paper to achieve a quick result. I could have used our stamps and dies to make the snow globe, but I used a cut-out from our paper instead. It saved a lot of time and the card is just as nice as if I'd stamped it. The Snowy Scenes Suite is a full Suite of products … [Read more...] about Snowy Wonder
Making Your Own Background
One of the cards I shared Monday used the full-sized background die. It makes an amazing frame of pine boughs overlapping the interior of the frame. This is the die I'm referring to. Once you die cut the frame, you end up with a funny looking reverse image, or the inside piece from the frame. You can take that inside piece and use it to make a fabulous background. First, you'll want to center it over your card stock that you're going to … [Read more...] about Making Your Own Background
