Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing one of the first cards I've made using new products in the Holiday Mini Catalog. This features the Pick of the Patch bundle, which is a stamp/punch bundle. The punch cuts out these two pumpkins and stems from the set. The pattern paper is from the All About Autumn pack, which is 6x6" pack of paper. I like these smaller sheets for cards because the patterns tend to be smaller for cards. One nice thing about … [Read more...] about Pick of the Patch

Last of the Seedlings
First, let me apologize for my oopsie on Wednesday. I set my posts to automatically go live in the am. I goofed and set it for pm. I fixed it as soon as I realized it hadn't posted. Sorry! Happy Friday! This is it for the Soft Seedlings for now. I wanted to share one more version in a different color for this card. For this card, I lightly inked it in the early espresso color so you can see more of the veins in the leaves. This card … [Read more...] about Last of the Seedlings
This or That?
I'm back with Soft Seedlings today. As I was getting out my supplies, I couldn't decide which colors to use, so I used both yellow and green. Making this card in the two different colors gives each one a totally different feel. The yellow card looks more like Fall colors to me. And the green would be more appropriate for Spring. What do you think about the two colors? Which one do you like better? Comment below! Soft … [Read more...] about This or That?
Soft Seedlings
Well, it sure doesn't feel like Fall weather here in SoCal, but it is officially Fall now. Today's card is inspired by one I saw that one of the Stampin Up employees had made. I used slightly different colors and changed the layout a little bit. For the leaves, I inked them in Crushed Curry, then I used a sponge to add a bit of Cajun Craze around the edges and then Mossy Meadow for the stems. I love the multicolor of the leaves. You can … [Read more...] about Soft Seedlings
Last of the Pumpkins.. For Now
Two weeks ago, I attended Stampin Up's BackStage event for leaders. At the event, we had a "Sweets and Swaps" party. Swaps are cards that we make to trade with other Demonstrators. Most people make things that can be easily replicated to share with others. There are lots of little gift type items too, like treat boxes for candy. These are the two swaps that I took with me. I can't decide if I like the green or the rust color better. … [Read more...] about Last of the Pumpkins.. For Now
More Pumpkins!
Before I share today's project, here are this week's Weekly Deals. You can click on the Shop button on the right and it will take you directly to my online store. Look for Specials, then Weekly Deals. There are no limits to the number of items you can purchase. That Red Ruffled Ribbon is going to be perfect for Holiday cards. And now we're on to pumpkins! This time, I used the pumpkin dies to cut out my pumpkin, rather than stamp it. It's … [Read more...] about More Pumpkins!
Let’s Talk Backgrounds
Stampin Up sells these beautiful embossing folders you can use to create a lovely background. But, you need a die cut machine if you're going to use them. I know it sounds crazy, but not every crafter has a die cut machine or wants to get a die cut machine. And sometimes, I just don't want to get out the big die cut machine to use the embossing folders. You can still make a great background using just stamps and ink. For today's card, I … [Read more...] about Let’s Talk Backgrounds
When I’m Stuck..
When I'm stuck in a creative rut or I can't decide what to make, I turn to our Catalogs. Our Catalogs are great Idea Books too. I love all the samples they have. Most of the time, I create my own projects. Sometimes I'll copy an idea from the Catalog just to get the creative juices flowing. And sometimes, I'll take ideas and change them up. Today's card is just like the one in the Catalog. This is a quick card because most of the … [Read more...] about When I’m Stuck..
