Two weeks ago, I attended Stampin Up's BackStage event for leaders. At the event, we had a "Sweets and Swaps" party. Swaps are cards that we make to trade with other Demonstrators. Most people make things that can be easily replicated to share with others. There are lots of little gift type items too, like treat boxes for candy. These are the two swaps that I took with me. I can't decide if I like the green or the rust color better. … [Read more...] about Last of the Pumpkins.. For Now

More Pumpkins!
Before I share today's project, here are this week's Weekly Deals. You can click on the Shop button on the right and it will take you directly to my online store. Look for Specials, then Weekly Deals. There are no limits to the number of items you can purchase. That Red Ruffled Ribbon is going to be perfect for Holiday cards. And now we're on to pumpkins! This time, I used the pumpkin dies to cut out my pumpkin, rather than stamp it. It's … [Read more...] about More Pumpkins!
Let’s Talk Backgrounds
Stampin Up sells these beautiful embossing folders you can use to create a lovely background. But, you need a die cut machine if you're going to use them. I know it sounds crazy, but not every crafter has a die cut machine or wants to get a die cut machine. And sometimes, I just don't want to get out the big die cut machine to use the embossing folders. You can still make a great background using just stamps and ink. For today's card, I … [Read more...] about Let’s Talk Backgrounds
When I’m Stuck..
When I'm stuck in a creative rut or I can't decide what to make, I turn to our Catalogs. Our Catalogs are great Idea Books too. I love all the samples they have. Most of the time, I create my own projects. Sometimes I'll copy an idea from the Catalog just to get the creative juices flowing. And sometimes, I'll take ideas and change them up. Today's card is just like the one in the Catalog. This is a quick card because most of the … [Read more...] about When I’m Stuck..
Hello, Fall
Well, it may not feel like Fall just yet (and it's not), but it's definitely time to start sharing some Fall projects. This is a slim line style card. It's a little hard to see, but the background card stock is stamped with leaves in the dark brown color. Then the flowers are stamped on the pattern paper. I used one of the leaf tags from the Leaf Label and Gem set. These leaves come already cut out ready to use. The leaf labels come with 25 … [Read more...] about Hello, Fall
Thinking of You
I have a few more projects to share using the Ringed With Nature bundle. I love how simple this card is and it turned out really lovely! One great thing about the mushroom stamp is that the stems and the caps are separate stamps. It makes is so much easier to stamp it in different colors. For the cap, I inked it in the yellow first and then used a sponge dauber to add a bit of the red along the edges. The tree ring stamp makes a nice … [Read more...] about Thinking of You
Easing Into Fall
I'm seeing lots of posts about back to school. It's hard to believe that Fall is right around the corner. If I didn't see all the school supplies and pumpkins at the local stores, I don't think I'd believe it since we've been having a heat wave here. Since Fall is almost upon us, I thought I'd start sharing some Fall projects with you. Today's project uses the Ringed With Nature bundle and the free coordinating Rings of Love Sale-a-bration … [Read more...] about Easing Into Fall
Squirrel!
Let me just start off this post by stating that I have put the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set back on the shelf for now so this is my last card with this adorable set...for now. I think this squirrel is my favorite out of the two. This is a quick and easy card to make. No need to worry about how to fill the background space - just use our gorgeous pattern paper. I'm really doing my bast to use my pattern paper stash rather than hoard it. … [Read more...] about Squirrel!
