Recently, I was at the local store and saw a distressed wooden reindeer plaque. I thought they were cute, but had no idea how to decorate it. Moving down the aisle, I came across a bucket of plastic lightbulbs. Then the wheels started turning... For this project, you'll need one reindeer plaque, a plastic pretend lightbulb, a short string of led lights, red paint, a power drill, and a hot glue gun. The led lights should have a battery pack … [Read more...] about Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
Holiday Boutique Recap
This past Friday and Saturday was the Holiday Boutique that we've been prepping for the last number of weeks. I still have a couple projects from the booth that I haven't shared yet and will get to those soon. In the meantime, here are the pictures of the booth set-up. There were five of us making cards and products for the booth. We did end up with a wide variety of items. This was our wall of cards. Such an awesome idea to string them up like … [Read more...] about Holiday Boutique Recap
Hooray, Hooray, Today is the Day!
The Holiday Boutique is finally here. It starts this afternoon and continues all day Saturday. I have been a crazy crafting fiend lately. After all the long hours I've put into creating products for the booth, I am so thankful that I wasn't the only person creating products. Making one of something doesn't take a lot of time. But making a dozen or even several dozen of something takes hours. And hours. Several weeks ago, I shared my Fall … [Read more...] about Hooray, Hooray, Today is the Day!
It’s Crunch Time
And no, I'm not referring to those awful exercises. I'm talking about the last week before the Holiday Boutique and working on my projects for the OnStage Displays in three weeks (yikes!). Everything else is on the back burner for now. I'm foreseeing more than a few late nights in the coming weeks. Here is a quick peak at my progress this past weekend... Lots of antlers and gold paint. Those four gold circles are actually slices from a … [Read more...] about It’s Crunch Time
Fall Weather is Finally Here (for the next three days)
Our Fall weather really doesn't start until October 31st but we have had some chilly evenings the last couple days and we'll have a couple more this week. Yay! There is nothing better than opening the windows on a nice cool Fall evening. It makes me want to snuggle up under the blankets with my heater. :) By Thursday, it'll be 95' again here. Ugh. It's so hard to make Fall cards and projects when you're wearing shorts and flip flops and have … [Read more...] about Fall Weather is Finally Here (for the next three days)
Five Minute Friday – Gift Card Holders
Seriously, my studio is in need of a major cleaning. I'm knee deep in gift card holders the last couple days. I'm making a ton for the upcoming Holiday Boutique that my Downline and I will be at. Just check out this stack. I've got to get these assembled asap so I can move on to more projects. These gift cards turned out so cute! I did use our retired stamp set Perfect Blend. This is one stamp set that I will never part with. I can't tell … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Gift Card Holders
Thank You!
I'm getting ready to send out September Customer thank you cards for those that made purchases last month. Each month I send out handmade cards to everyone who made a purchase the month before. And every month, I change up the design. Here is the card for September's customers. I love this large Dahlia stamp. It makes a beautiful background. I chose to stamp the flower in a lighter color so I could stamp the "You're The Best" across the … [Read more...] about Thank You!
Merry Pup-mas
My assistant, Frannie, loves to help me out in the office. She's really good on the computer and does most of my proofreading. Here she is making sure I have all my Wordpress updates installed. But if I don't keep her busy, she'll sneak off for a nap. After reviewing my last post, she asked me why there weren't any pups in the Holiday Catalog. I explained to her that I was sure it was an oversight and we could figure something out … [Read more...] about Merry Pup-mas
