For the past several days, Stampin Up has been sharing some sneak peeks at products in the upcoming Holiday Catalog and let me tell you there are some really good things coming very soon. I can’t reveal anything just yet. But as a Demonstrator I get to start ordering some of these goodies next week and I cannot wait to get them. It’s almost better than Christmas. It’s Christmas craft supplies! Until I can share the new goodies, I’m sharing … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Twice The Jolly
Only 150 More Days Until…
Christmas! Do you know why we associate the poinsettia with Christmas? The plant's association with Christmas began in 16th-century Mexico with a story about a little girl. She looked forward to the annual Christmas festival but could not afford to buy a gift to take to the festival. On Christmas Eve, she set out for church to attend the service and picked some weeds along the way. She placed the weeds in the manger as her gift to the baby … [Read more...] about Only 150 More Days Until…
More Christmas In July
I'm back today with more Christmas in July projects this week. I know you're thinking, it's way too early for Christmas cards and crafts, but it's not. The Back To School sales are in full force and local craft stores have been bringing in the pumpkins. And, the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog will be coming very soon and we'll have some brand new goodies. In the meantime, I'm sharing some products that are in the Annual Catalog & Idea … [Read more...] about More Christmas In July
Five Minute Friday – More Swirly Birds
I’m back with more Swirly Birds today for Five Minute Friday. I don’t know what it is about those silly swirls. They are addicting to play with. Don’t get me wrong, I love my other stamps, but you use a bird stamp half a dozen times, and you start to think “ok that’s enough birds for now”. But this stamp set was designed so well that the abstract shapes can be just about anything. The various shapes are just enough of a hint of something, that … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – More Swirly Birds
OnStage April 2016 – Mint Macaron
Today I'm sharing another group of projects that I made for OnStage this past April. You can see the Tip Top Taupe projects here and the Watermelon Wonder projects here. Out of the five 2015-17 In Colors, Mint Macaron is my favorite. Mint Macaron is a beautiful pastel green. It truly reminds me of the color of mint ice cream. Actually, mint in general is one of my absolute favorite colors. I even have a mint colored purse. First up is my 3D … [Read more...] about OnStage April 2016 – Mint Macaron
Can’t Resist Those Swirly Birds and Rainbows
Today has been one of those days where I start a task, then have to stop to do something else. Then back to the original task and once again interrupted. And the cycle keeps repeating. All. Day. Long. I love the summer break from school with no homework or tests, but it sure wreaks havoc on our scheduling. We are usually fairly regimented during the school year, but when summer comes along everything flies out the window along with the set dinner … [Read more...] about Can’t Resist Those Swirly Birds and Rainbows
Five Minute Friday – Remarkable You!
Yes, You. I think you are remarkable. Did you know that? Actually, this stamp set is pretty remarkable too – just look at those big bold flowers. The flowers are so big that they easily can be your focal point, just like on today's card. For this card, you'll want to do your background piece and stamping your sentiment before adhering the flower. I did a light wash of Bermuda Bay across the entire background. I like the uneven look of the … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Remarkable You!
OnStage April 2016 – Watermelon Wonder
One of my favorite things about summer is fresh watermelon. There is just something about that sweet juicy fruit that brings to mind picnics, pool days, and warm evenings. Stampin Up has this habit of naming their colors after foods and Watermelon Wonder is no exception. Every time I see that color, I remember being a kid, wrapped in a towel sitting pool side with my cousins, while my mom passes out the watermelon slices. We certainly didn't … [Read more...] about OnStage April 2016 – Watermelon Wonder
