Please don’t hate me, but I have another Succulent card to share today. I was talking to a friend about how I made all those succulent die cuts and she commented that it wouldn’t be something she would purchase because it took too long to make those plants. So, today I wanted to get back to the basics with the stamp set and dies and show you that yes you can make a quickie card with these supplies. And I made it a birthday card since my birthday was yesterday.
The most complicated part of this card was the two-step stamping for the main flower. My Sweet Sugarplum stamp pad is really inky so I stamped off before stamping the inside part of the flower. Die cutting just the one flower hardly takes any time at all.
I paired this with the Mint Macaroon sheet from the coordinating pattern paper. The ribbon is fastened to the banners using one of the mini paper clips in the Occasions Catalog. Those mini paperclips sure are cute and they come in a mixed package of white, gold, and silver. The sparkly Glitter paper is a new Sale-abration item that will be available starting 2/21. It’s a 6×6″ pad of Glitter paper in Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum, and Mint Macaron. So, so pretty! And it can be yours for FREE with a qualifying purchase.
This is going to be one of my Make & Takes at the Just Crop retreat on Saturday. If you need a weekend away from the laundry and chores, this is an excellent choice. Rachel does a great a job with these retreats. I look forward to working at them every time.
Don’t forget Sale-abration is going on right now. For every $50 purchase (pre-tax and shipping), you can pick one free Sale-abration item. What a deal! I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for a good deal which is why I signed up to be a Demonstrator. If you always want to get your craft supplies at a discount, we need to talk.
