One of the cards I shared Monday used the full-sized background die. It makes an amazing frame of pine boughs overlapping the interior of the frame. This is the die I'm referring to. Once you die cut the frame, you end up with a funny looking reverse image, or the inside piece from the frame. You can take that inside piece and use it to make a fabulous background. First, you'll want to center it over your card stock that you're going to … [Read more...] about Making Your Own Background

Above It All Once Again
Happy New Year! Are you ready for a bright new year, full of possibilities? I know I am. I'm not usually a resolution person but I'm definitely making some goals this year for things I want to accomplish. I don't know why I think there is a difference between resolutions and goals, but there is. I'm back today with my last card using the Above It All bundle. This time I'm using only the large trees and I made them all pink. I love the funky … [Read more...] about Above It All Once Again

A Rainbow Of Trees
While I still had the Merriest Trees bundle on my desk, I couldn't resist making a rainbow forest. I used my blending brushes to add some color to the white card stock behind each of the trees. I used the same five ink colors to match the five card stock colors. I placed the yellow tree in the center first. Then I added the red and green trees on the ends. Then the orange and blue trees fit in the middle. The card needed a little something more … [Read more...] about A Rainbow Of Trees
Now That’s A Tree
I'm back today showing all the fabulous layers for the Merriest Trees bundle. The die set comes with the four different sizes of the trees, which can be layered on top of each other to make a full tree. The stamp for the tree leaves is just one stamp. But it has a gap between each layer which allows you to stamp each of the different sizes of trees nicely. The snow drifts are hand cut on the bottom of the card. Super simple card and it … [Read more...] about Now That’s A Tree
Believe In The Magic
I'm back today with another Christmas card. This is one I made a few weeks ago. I was originally thinking I would use this as my Christmas card this year, but I knew hand-cutting all those little Santa hats was going to be a chore. Anyway, I still think this is a great card. This stamp set and pattern paper are retiring at the end of the July-December Catalog. The pattern paper is one of the host items in the Catalog and it's an excellent … [Read more...] about Believe In The Magic
December Sampler-Sweet
Today I'm sharing my December Sampler. I thought a fun theme this month would be gingerbread. I have a cute little gingerbread girl, a lollipop forest, and a sweet gingerbread house. Several people have asked what I do with the samplers. I use them as home decor pieces in my home. I change it out every month seasonally. Several customers have used them in scrapbooks, and another uses them in a shadowbox frame. I love hearing what people are … [Read more...] about December Sampler-Sweet
