One of the cards I shared Monday used the full-sized background die. It makes an amazing frame of pine boughs overlapping the interior of the frame. This is the die I'm referring to. Once you die cut the frame, you end up with a funny looking reverse image, or the inside piece from the frame. You can take that inside piece and use it to make a fabulous background. First, you'll want to center it over your card stock that you're going to … [Read more...] about Making Your Own Background

Nests of Winter
I've been trying to make a better effort to use all the supplies I purchase. I'm just like you.. I can easily get caught up buying stamps I like, and then don't get around to using all of them. I'm doing my best to make sure every stamp set gets some love before I file them away in my cabinet. The Nests of Winter Suite is one of my favorites from the September-December Catalog. I'm a sucker for a good bird stamp set. Add in some amazing … [Read more...] about Nests of Winter
Beautiful Things
Next week, I'll start sharing new products from the September-December Catalog which just started this past Tuesday. Before I get into the Holiday projects, I'm sharing one more project using Thought Wishes Bundle from the Annual Catalog. I can't believe I missed sharing this one earlier. I love bright fun colors and this one is made using the fun pattern paper, Full of Life. To make the beautiful butterflies, I die cut an entire row of … [Read more...] about Beautiful Things
Thank You
We're finishing up this week with another Sketched Butterflies card. This one actually came about using up some left over pieces from other projects. Plus it gave me a chance to practice my coloring the butterfly. I actually have one more project using this bundle. I'll share that one in a little bit. Next week, we are on to something new. Check back on Monday to see what's in store. Sketched Butterflies Bundle (English) - … [Read more...] about Thank You
A Simple Little Card
This was meant to be a quick and simple card. And then I had to make it complicated. I loved the scattering of all the little butterflies, but the card looked flat. So I stamped more little butterflies, then cut them out individually, and added them with pop dots. It adds a little something to the card having additional layers. However, the card would have been just fine without adding the extra layer of butterflies. Don't worry, I have … [Read more...] about A Simple Little Card
Sketched Butterflies
I'm a sucker for butterfly stamps. If there's a butterfly stamp in the catalog, it's guaranteed that I'm going to purchase it. Usually, I color butterflies like a Monarch butterfly, in oranges and yellows. This time, I went with purple. I absolutely love this stamp set. I made a bunch of cards with it and will be sharing them all week. Check back on Wednesday to see more of this set. Sketched Butterflies Bundle (English) - … [Read more...] about Sketched Butterflies
The Best Day Ever
I love living by the beach but the funny thing is that it's hard to find time to go to the beach. Plus I'm not wild about all the sand. I do love the view though. There is something so calming about watching the ocean. And then you see something special like this. Nature living it's best life. Seeing the dolphins swim like this in person is truly special. I hope you get to see this spectacular scene yourself one day. … [Read more...] about The Best Day Ever
One Last Birdhouse!
This is it for the birdhouses at this time. I wanted to end the set on a really cute project - a 3D birdhouse. This little house turned out better than I hoped. I stamped one house for the front and die cut both the front and a second house for the back. Then I used a strip of 3x12" card stock to make the box center. There really wasn't a great way to measure out the strip in advance. So I just scored it as I went along around all the … [Read more...] about One Last Birdhouse!
