Can you believe it's Halloween today? Where did October go? Nevermind, October... where did September go?!? It amazes me every single year how quickly the end of the year comes once school starts. It feels like I'm wishing the kids a good first day of school and then two days later they are off on Winter Break. I know it's really not quite that fast, but once we get back into the daily school routine with sports and activities, time really does … [Read more...] about Happy Halloween!
This month's class for locals is Halloween Treats. This class was originally scheduled for Tuesday 10/16, but I need to move it back one week to Tuesday 10/23 at 7:00 pm. The Halloween Treat class is $20 and we will make these three treat holders. Yes, the candy is included! I'm not going to share all the details on the projects here. I'm saving those for the class attendees. Contact me to sign up for this class. Registration deadline is … [Read more...] about Halloween Treat Class
I have to say, Stampin Up hit it out of the park with the September's Paper Pumpkin kit. In case you missed it, September's kit came in this adorable black box with spider webs printed all over it. If you collect the boxes, this is one you don't want to miss. The kit itself contained enough supplies to make 24 treat holders. This is perfect for those that want to give out some special treats to your friends or your kids friends. As … [Read more...] about September Paper Pumpkin
Today’s project is a Halloween décor piece that I’ve been working on and off for a couple weeks now. Last night I put the finishing touches on it and I’m calling it done! First, let me explain how this project came about. I recently attended a scrapbook class at a local store and the store had tons of ideas sprinkled around the room. One of the ideas was a mini Halloween album with a 3D coffin on the front of the album. I loved this idea, adding … [Read more...] about Looking for a place to rest?

If you're ever looking for some crafty time away from home, you need to attend a craft retreat. No chores, no obligations, no laundry. Just you and your friends. What could be better than a getaway? Today's project is one of my make & takes for the retreat. I love sharing new ideas for treat holders. I think these are one of those … [Read more...] about Witch Way to the Candy?
As we speed along to the end of September (you can feel it, can't you?), it's time to start thinking about your Halloween decor. I'm one of those people who like to make their own decor, so I can match and coordinate things just so. Today's project is my Spooky Frame. I love how this artwork turned out. It's just as I envisioned. Our Halloween products are pretty great this year. They all coordinate really well so you can mix and match … [Read more...] about It’s Almost Pumpkin Time
Candy Corn seems to be one of those polarizing candies. You either love it. Or you hate it. In fact, my friend Annette recently shared a candy corn joke. Instructions for eating candy corn... Step one: Open bag. Step two: Pour bag into trash can. Step three: Eat peanut butter cup instead. This is totally me! I do not love candy corn. In fact I use it for vase fillers or things like today's project... Ta-da! A … [Read more...] about Team Candy Corn?
The saga of the broken washer continues… it’s still not working. I have one more avenue to try for repairing it on my own. Someone messaged me that I’m nuts for trying this on my own. But, the washer is about 15 years old and if it needs any kind of repair that’s more than a hundred dollars, it’s frankly not worth investing it in a 15+ year old machine. And, I figure I certainly can’t make it any worse. It already doesn’t work. :) On to today’s … [Read more...] about No Tricks Here
