To Be Merry! The month is almost half over and we are less than two weeks until Christmas. Yikes! Time to get those gifts made. Or started if you haven't done that yet. :) Today I'm sharing the Be Merry Kit from the Holiday Catalog. This kit includes all the supplies you need to make twelve ornaments. I do recommend a hot glue gun for assembly of the ornaments. And you'll want a fine-tip glue pen to glue the "merry" to the wood … [Read more...] about Tis the Season…

And In My Spare Time…
I'm a wanna-be quilter. That is... I love the look of quilts and I've attempted a number of them on my own. But, I think I have only ever finished two smallish quilts. I must have at least five partial quilts that are in various stages of completion. I always seem to run into a problem like machine keeps jamming or can't decide on a pattern for the quilting part or I run out of that specific fabric in the middle of a row. I've decided … [Read more...] about And In My Spare Time…

It’s Still Fall
Remember all those leaves that I die cut a few weeks ago? This is the project for which they were intended. I made several of these Fall wall hangings for the Boutiques I was working this year. I knew I needed a bunch of leaves, but wasn’t totally sure of how many and in what colors. So, I die cut a lot of leaves, using up tons of scrap paper. I may have gotten a little carried away...I found the burlap canvases at a local store and covered them … [Read more...] about It’s Still Fall
I Promise It’s Coffee… Maybe
If you've been to a Boutique lately, you may have noticed that a really popular item is these small plaques with witty or funny sayings on them. Most of them are painted, but I thought it would be fun to make one with our paper and stamps and dies. I chose my ever faithful Coffee Cafe set and dies to make my plaque. I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of this stamp set, that is for sure! Every time I put it away, I just have to … [Read more...] about I Promise It’s Coffee… Maybe
A Little Jar of Christmas
In Southern California, we don't get much in the way of snowy Christmases. It is 94' on Sunday as I write this and we are almost to the end of October. Don't worry though... tomorrow it's going to be 101'. Yay. I found these adorable jars at a local store and they had a hardware kit to add a post to the top of the jar so you could add a picture or card. Our Memories & More Christmas set was the perfect size to top these jars. We … [Read more...] about A Little Jar of Christmas
Bonjour!
This past Saturday, the kids and I returned from a quick trip to Paris. Yes, Paris France. For years I've been wanting to take them to Europe and it never quite worked out between the timing and the cost. And I honestly thought we weren't even going to have time to take a vacation at all this Summer between all of their activities. But we realized roughly three weeks ago that Soccer camp was ending about a week earlier than I originally … [Read more...] about Bonjour!
