Before I share today's project, you've got to see the sneak peek for September. The September kit will be Halloween themed and will contain treat packaging to make 24 treats. Remember to plan ahead for those class parties and be sure to order the right number of kits. You can change the quantity of your monthly kit shipment for a single month. If you want to do this, go in to your Paper Pumpkin account and change the quantity no later … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – August Paper Pumpkin
Petal Promenade
One of the amazing new packages of pattern paper in the Annual Catalog is Petal Promenade. This paper is loaded with tons of lovely floral images. You really don't need to add very much to the card to achieve a beautiful look. For this card, I stamped some flowers from the Abstract Impressions stamp set and then hand cut them out. These flowers are a little wonky when cut out, but I love the contrast between the abstract flowers and the … [Read more...] about Petal Promenade
Frosted Floral
One of my favorite Suites from the upcoming Holiday Catalog is Frosted Floral. I love the soft, muted look of the flowers and the shimmery pattern paper is to die for. The color combinations in the paper are truly beautiful. I think this is my new favorite color combination: Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron. The large flower in the center is inked in Blushing Bride and then I dabbed on a bit of Blackberry Bliss in the … [Read more...] about Frosted Floral
No Tricks Here
The saga of the broken washer continues… it’s still not working. I have one more avenue to try for repairing it on my own. Someone messaged me that I’m nuts for trying this on my own. But, the washer is about 15 years old and if it needs any kind of repair that’s more than a hundred dollars, it’s frankly not worth investing it in a 15+ year old machine. And, I figure I certainly can’t make it any worse. It already doesn’t work. :) On to today’s … [Read more...] about No Tricks Here
Thinking of You
Quick post today after a long day and now I'm dealing with broken washer. I have no problem trying something on my own, so it's YouTube to the rescue. We'll see if the various YouTube videos can help me get the washer going again. And let me just state for the record, I have no idea what I'm doing. The one type of card that I never seem to have on hand when I need them is a sympathy card. No one likes having to send one and when you really … [Read more...] about Thinking of You
July Customer Thank You’s
One of my favorite pattern papers from the new catalog is the Delightfully Detailed laser cut paper. This pack has two different styles of sheets and one side is Whisper White and the other side is Very Vanilla. One is a 12x12 sheet of a beautiful floral pattern cut out. The second sheet has 6 different frames and a couple borders. This second sheet with the frames is perfect for cards. I cut all the frames apart. Then I cut a sheet of Whisper … [Read more...] about July Customer Thank You’s
Merry Christmas!
We still have a few more months before Christmas, but with stamps like these, I just couldn't resist getting a start on my Holiday cards. The limited release of the Blended Seasons stamp set is just the ticket for getting some quick Holiday cards made. Usually, when it comes to stamping and die cutting, I recommend stamp first, cut second. However, I found it easier to cut my label first and then stamp it. This allowed me to get the ivy … [Read more...] about Merry Christmas!
A Little Hello
I've been so busy lately creating with the new Color Your Season bundle and the new watercolor pencils. I love that the set has so many versatile images and sentiments. And, the new collection of watercolor pencils compliments the set in the Annual Catalog so well. Today's project is a little treat bag that I made to give to some friends at the Just Crop Retreat this past weekend. I stopped by the Retreat and dropped off these little goodies … [Read more...] about A Little Hello
