For gift-giving! When the kids were little, they would sometimes need Holiday treats to pass out at school. Our elementary school had a rule that all treats had to be individually packaged and store bought - nothing homemade and bagged by us (for allergy purposes). I always liked to dress up the treats. I never wanted to just pass out a bag of candy. Today's treat holder uses the Making Spirits Bright bundle (stamp set and … [Read more...] about Tis the Season

Blending Your Blends
For the last couple of OnStage events, I’ve taken small boxes of treats to share with other Demonstrators. I give these to old friends and new friends I’ve made this trip. They aren’t meant to be a swap that I’m trading to get something in return. Instead, these are given to lots of different people, to Stampin Up employees that may have helped me with something or people who were just extra nice. The boxes are our Pizza boxes and these are a … [Read more...] about Blending Your Blends
Happy Halloween!
Can you believe it's Halloween today? Where did October go? Nevermind, October... where did September go?!? It amazes me every single year how quickly the end of the year comes once school starts. It feels like I'm wishing the kids a good first day of school and then two days later they are off on Winter Break. I know it's really not quite that fast, but once we get back into the daily school routine with sports and activities, time really does … [Read more...] about Happy Halloween!
Doing Good Deeds
Last week at our Downline Meeting, we spent our time making Halloween Treats for our local Ronald MacDonald House. We've been doing this for several years now. We try to have treats for the house for most of the major holidays. We haven't had as much time the past couple months, but we make the effort when we can.My downline, Poli usually designs our project and very often provides the paper supplies to be used for the treats. This treat holder … [Read more...] about Doing Good Deeds
September Paper Pumpkin
I have to say, Stampin Up hit it out of the park with the September's Paper Pumpkin kit. In case you missed it, September's kit came in this adorable black box with spider webs printed all over it. If you collect the boxes, this is one you don't want to miss. The kit itself contained enough supplies to make 24 treat holders. This is perfect for those that want to give out some special treats to your friends or your kids friends. As … [Read more...] about September Paper Pumpkin
Team Candy Corn?
Candy Corn seems to be one of those polarizing candies. You either love it. Or you hate it. In fact, my friend Annette recently shared a candy corn joke. Instructions for eating candy corn... Step one: Open bag. Step two: Pour bag into trash can. Step three: Eat peanut butter cup instead. This is totally me! I do not love candy corn. In fact I use it for vase fillers or things like today's project... Ta-da! A … [Read more...] about Team Candy Corn?
No Tricks Here
The saga of the broken washer continues… it’s still not working. I have one more avenue to try for repairing it on my own. Someone messaged me that I’m nuts for trying this on my own. But, the washer is about 15 years old and if it needs any kind of repair that’s more than a hundred dollars, it’s frankly not worth investing it in a 15+ year old machine. And, I figure I certainly can’t make it any worse. It already doesn’t work. :) On to today’s … [Read more...] about No Tricks Here
A Little Hello
I've been so busy lately creating with the new Color Your Season bundle and the new watercolor pencils. I love that the set has so many versatile images and sentiments. And, the new collection of watercolor pencils compliments the set in the Annual Catalog so well. Today's project is a little treat bag that I made to give to some friends at the Just Crop Retreat this past weekend. I stopped by the Retreat and dropped off these little goodies … [Read more...] about A Little Hello
