I know we are still about a month away from Spring, but I'm ready to say good-bye to Winter. We've had more rain this year than I can remember in the last decade. One good thing to come from all the rain is the beautiful green hills everywhere. And my plants are getting plenty of watering without me having to do it. Even though it's technically not Spring yet, I'm getting the house ready. I found these mini grapevine garlands at the … [Read more...] about Is It Spring Yet?

Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
Recently, I was at the local store and saw a distressed wooden reindeer plaque. I thought they were cute, but had no idea how to decorate it. Moving down the aisle, I came across a bucket of plastic lightbulbs. Then the wheels started turning... For this project, you'll need one reindeer plaque, a plastic pretend lightbulb, a short string of led lights, red paint, a power drill, and a hot glue gun. The led lights should have a battery pack … [Read more...] about Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
Coming Soon… Fall
The First Day of Fall is rapidly approaching and frankly, it can't come soon enough. I much prefer cooler temperatures to the sweaty 100' heat we had today. I pulled out my Fall Wreath today hoping I could convince Mother Nature to give us a little break on the heat. I have a lot of seasonal decor that I've made through the years and this Fall Wreath is one of my favorites. I actually made this last Fall, but I haven't had a chance to share … [Read more...] about Coming Soon… Fall
OnStage April 2016 – Watermelon Wonder
One of my favorite things about summer is fresh watermelon. There is just something about that sweet juicy fruit that brings to mind picnics, pool days, and warm evenings. Stampin Up has this habit of naming their colors after foods and Watermelon Wonder is no exception. Every time I see that color, I remember being a kid, wrapped in a towel sitting pool side with my cousins, while my mom passes out the watermelon slices. We certainly didn't … [Read more...] about OnStage April 2016 – Watermelon Wonder
Only 185 More Days Until Christmas!
Okay, be honest, did you just gasp there? Seriously, the days are sailing by at light speed. Before you know it, Back To School supplies will be on sale and Halloween will be right around the corner. And once the Halloween decorations come out, the rest of the holidays will be here as well. Like I said, it's almost 2017. It is not too early to start working on those Christmas projects that never quite seem to get done every year. (Admit it, … [Read more...] about Only 185 More Days Until Christmas!
The Best Mother’s Day Ever
Just in case you didn't know, yesterday was Mother's Day. We celebrated with my mom Saturday evening and my hubby spent the previous Saturday with his mother. Yesterday, we got to do something I've been dying to do since I first heard it they were building it about two years ago. We went to Universal Studios to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Oh my goodness! Universal did a pretty good job recreating Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. It … [Read more...] about The Best Mother’s Day Ever
Mother’s Day is THIS Weekend!
Mother’s Day is this Sunday. Can you believe it? It’s not too late to send your mother a Mother’s Day Card. And if you’re hand-delivering it, you still have plenty of time! Today I'm sharing an adorable gift wrap idea to hold your mom's present. This little purse was made by Poli and it was her swap for our April Downline Meeting. I love the great use of washi tape as purse straps. Washi tape is so inexpensive and we all have tons of it in our … [Read more...] about Mother’s Day is THIS Weekend!
Five Minute Friday
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you already know that I was selected to be one of the stampers that made projects for display at OnStage. I was truly honored to be selected. And humbled when I met the other artists and realized that a number of them are current and previous Artisan Award winners. My assignment for the display projects was to make 20 items focusing on the five 2015-17 In Colors. We were to make one 3D, one scrapbook … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
