Every year I hand make my gifts for my downline members. I really try to keep it Stampin Up products only since we are Stampin Up Demonstrators after all. Although sometimes, I come across something that I just know will be absolutely perfect for my gift. Let me back up just a bit... Stampin Up hosts an annual convention every year and all Demonstrators are able to attend if they wish. At these conventions, they used to sell logo merchandise, … [Read more...] about Gloves To Keep You Warm
No Peeking!
Can you keep a secret? Good! So can I! Inside this cute package is my Christmas gift for my downline members for our meeting this Thursday. I kind of went over the top with the tag and went simple with just a tissue paper wrapping. The tag is made using the Winter Wishes stamp set. I love this stamp set. Anytime Stampin Up comes out with these retro winter skis or sleds in their sets, I must buy them. And I don't live any where near … [Read more...] about No Peeking!
My Very First Class in the Mail!
I have been a crafter for very long time. And I have thoroughly loved attending classes through the years. However, I’ve noticed the last couple of years, actually fitting into my schedule a craft or stamp class has become near impossible. I was under the mistaken impression that as the kids got older, that I’d have a little more “me” time. Hah! Any parent that has kids in middle school or high school quickly figures out that their social life … [Read more...] about My Very First Class in the Mail!
Counting Down to Christmas
I love that Stampin Up has an Artisan Design Team. They come up some pretty amazing stuff (they are Artisan’s after all). A few months ago, Stampin Up featured one of the creations on their blog and it was amazing. It was an Advent Calendar Tree, using the Tiny Treat boxes. Have you seen these adorable 2” square boxes? Yes, they really are that small. But as most women will agree, good things come in small packages. (Usually sparkly good … [Read more...] about Counting Down to Christmas
Does a Bear Love the Woods?
Of course he does! What bear doesn’t love the woods! This cutie pie from the Thankful Forest Friends has taken up residence on my desk for the last month. With that sweet smile, you know he just wants to be friends and maybe share that snack you’re having right now. Yes, the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set is listed as a Thanksgiving/Fall set but I couldn’t resist using him for a Christmas card. I knew he’d fit in perfect with those trees from … [Read more...] about Does a Bear Love the Woods?
I’m Dreaming Of A Black Christmas
Ok, not really. But, when I first saw the black and gold Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Mini, I thought this is too weird. Black For Christmas? Seriously, who does black for Christmas? Stampin Up has lost their minds! Who is going to buy BLACK Christmas paper? Good luck selling any of that stuff. The very next week, I was at a large retail establishment, when I turned a corner and saw this: Yep, you guessed it: black … [Read more...] about I’m Dreaming Of A Black Christmas
Friendship
Every month, I get together with my downline group and we talk about the current Stampin Up happenings, specials, promos, etc. The best part is that once a month, I'm guaranteed to see my friends! We may have all started out just wanting "stamps at a discount" but over the years, these ladies have become really good friends. Some of these ladies I knew prior to Stampin Up and some I met because of Stampin Up. We've had some great adventures … [Read more...] about Friendship
Camping With Friends
As soon as I saw the Thankful for Forest Friends stamp set, I knew I NEEDED it. That adorable little bear would be perfect with the little camper in the You’re Sublime stamp set. I know that when people camp, they can get a little nervous when bears show up. The media portrays these bears as wild, ravaging beasts. But I’m here to tell you that’s not totally accurate. Look at that little cutie-pie standing by the camper. He’s just wants to be … [Read more...] about Camping With Friends
