If there was one fruit that perfectly embodied summer, it’s watermelon. Every time I see one, I think of picnics, backyard barbeques, and pool parties. Watermelon is a staple at any Fourth of July party or State Fair.

I cut the pineapple into wedges and then grill them in my grill pan or on the BBQ. I used to think a whole pineapple was hard to handle, but they really are so easy to slice. And it’s so much cheaper than buying those containers of pre-cut pineapple.
