Who remembers that 80's tv show Home Improvement with Tim "the tool man" Taylor? It's a show that I remember fondly from my childhood. Tim was always getting in over his head with a project and then it would magically resolve itself before the 30 minutes were up. Amazing! I wish real home improvement projects would magically resolve themselves in 30 minutes or less, but real life is not the least bit like sitcom tv. Like most women, I usually … [Read more...] about Nailed It!
Balloon Adventures
This past Saturday, I was at the Just Crop Retreat. I shared one of the Make and Takes that I offered here last Friday. Today I have the second Make and Take. The Party Animal Suite is one of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog. I love the fun, festive colors. The stamps and papers are great for either a boy or a girl, old or young. This card is very similar to one of the samples in the Occasions Catalog. I changed it up slightly to … [Read more...] about Balloon Adventures
Five Minute Friday
Please don't hate me, but I have another Succulent card to share today. I was talking to a friend about how I made all those succulent die cuts and she commented that it wouldn't be something she would purchase because it took too long to make those plants. So, today I wanted to get back to the basics with the stamp set and dies and show you that yes you can make a quickie card with these supplies. And I made it a birthday card since my birthday … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
Is It Spring Yet?
I know we are still about a month away from Spring, but I'm ready to say good-bye to Winter. We've had more rain this year than I can remember in the last decade. One good thing to come from all the rain is the beautiful green hills everywhere. And my plants are getting plenty of watering without me having to do it. Even though it's technically not Spring yet, I'm getting the house ready. I found these mini grapevine garlands at the … [Read more...] about Is It Spring Yet?
Class To Go – Succulent Canvas
The past couple weeks I have been sharing some amazing projects that I've made with the Succulent dies from Stampin Up. They really are amazing. And the more layers you add, the more the plants come alive. Unfortunately, that also means a project that's not quick and simple. I finally came up with a project that you too can make at home. And, I've got it all packed up and ready to ship to you. Here is my first Class To Go: Succulent … [Read more...] about Class To Go – Succulent Canvas
Sealed With Love Treats
We are still counting down to Valentine's Day next week. Today's project is a cute treat bag made with the Sending Love Glassine Sheets. I love our Mini Treat Bag die because it allows me to make treat bags out of any of our papers. And when I purchase the Glassine Sheets, I thought they'd make great treat bags. The project turned out cute, but a word of warning, these sheets are super thin. It takes a very gentle touch when die-cutting … [Read more...] about Sealed With Love Treats
Did You Know Valentine’s Is Next Week?
We are at six days and rapidly counting down. Are you ready with your Valentine's treats and cards? If not, I do have a couple more ideas to share with you this week for your Valentine's gift giving. The Love Notes Framelits set has this cute heart border die. I sometimes struggle with these borders because I'm not sure where to put the border. I'm either too far to the left or too far to the right and I think it looks not quite … [Read more...] about Did You Know Valentine’s Is Next Week?
Paper Pumpkin Storage
Recently, someone asked me how I store my Paper Pumpkin subscription. What do I do with all the pieces? First of all, I really do make an effort to get my kits assembled as quickly as possibly. If it's cards, I file the completed cards in my card organizer by type. This is has been so handy when I need a last minute card. If it's a home decor piece, I make it and put it out right away so we can enjoy it for the season. Gift boxes and treat … [Read more...] about Paper Pumpkin Storage
