Balloon Adventures

This past Saturday, I was at the Just Crop Retreat. I shared one of the Make and Takes that I offered here last Friday. Today I have the second Make and Take. The Party Animal Suite is one of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog. I love the fun, festive colors. The stamps and papers are great for either a boy or a girl, old or young. This card is very similar to one of the samples in the Occasions Catalog. I changed it up slightly to show off our fabulous Party Animal paper, which I absolutely love. I just can’t get enough of those wild animals wearing party hats.

Kind of a funny story..both of my Make and Takes at the Retreat were birthday cards and I didn’t even realize it until I was doing the Make and Takes. I must have had birthdays on my mind. February is birthday month at our house. My son’s, my mom’s, and my birthdays are all in February.

Today’s card is really simple to make. The pattern paper is glued to the card base. The balloon string and bow are stamped on the Whisper White card stock. The balloon is stamped on Crushed Curry and punched out using the Balloon Bouquet punch. The sentiment is stamped over the top of the balloon string. The ribbon is tied around the card base and knotted on the front. Both the balloon and the Whisper White panel are adhered using dimensionals. Easy-peasy!

I have my fingers crossed that this stamp set will make it into the next Annual Catalog. Unfortunately, the pattern paper will very likely go away to make room for something new. So, if you’re dying to get this paper, don’t wait! Now is the perfect time to purchase it since Sale-abration is going on right now. For every $50 purchase (pre-tax and shipping), you can pick one free Sale-abration item. What a deal! I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for a good deal which is why I signed up to be a Demonstrator. If you always want to get your craft supplies at a discount, we need to talk.
