New At SU-Trees For Sale

August 17, 2022 by Diane 6 Comments

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing cards with fun folds.

My card is a Z-fold card. This style of fun fold is great for a beginner because there is no complicated math or folding. Here is my card for today. This is what it would look like coming out of an envelope.

For a Z-fold, you fold your card stock in half as you normally would. Then you take the front flap and fold it back on itself. When standing open, the card resembles the letter “Z” as you can see below.

This type of card is really great for creating a long background scene for your card. I used the Trees For Sale stamp set and Tree Lot dies to make this card. The trees were stamped with two-step stamping. There is one stamp for the overall shape of the tree, and then a second stamp with the individual branches and adds definition to the tree.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about how to put this together, just let me know.

You can click the link below and it will take you through your Hop today. As you go through the New at SU Hop, be sure to leave comments on each page in the Hop letting us know what you liked.

What a great wintry scene you’ve created with your z fold card! I love the addition of the little dog, too! He just makes it more realistic!
