I was at a local craft store not too long ago and came across these inexpensive wood frames in their discount bin. I thought they’d be great for crafting. I wanted to keep this simple so I left the frame the natural wood rather than painting it.
I cut my pattern paper to fit the inside of the frame. I do find with inexpensive frames like this, you really want to cut to fit it as they tend not to be a standard measurement. The green pattern paper is from the Peaceful Prints paper pack that was free during Sale-a-bration this past Fall.
My snow drift is hand cut. It’s not too hard to make a swoosh without a pattern, although we do have dies to make snowdrifts if you prefer to use that. For the Merry, I used our adhesive sheets before die cutting the word out. The adhesive sheets are perfect for small, intricate dies like this.
The tree is also from the local craft store. I used tear and tape to glue it inside the frame. A hot glue gun would work too.
This was a nice, quick project to add another small home decor piece to my house. I love how quick and easy this came together.
