If you’re looking for a quick treat holder that you can make lots of in a short amount of time, this is it. The Matchbook treat! This treat looks like an old fashioned matchbook.
This is what the matchbook looks like open. You can see the candy is stapled inside. This keeps it from falling out of the matchbook.
The dimensions for the black card stock is 2.75 x 7.75″. I used an 8.5 x 11″ sheet of card stock and cut the 8.5″ side down to 7.75″. Then I scored the entire sheet lengthwise at .75″, 4.5″, and 4.75″. Once you’ve scored your entire sheet of card stock, you rotate the sheet and cut into 2.75″ sections. By scoring the card stock before you cut it into the strips, you save a ton of time.
Then just staple the candy into the fold at the bottom. Fold the front flap down and then decorate it. Talk about easy!
