Virtual Album Retreat Coming Soon
Stampin Up has announced that the Virtual Album Retreat will be held in April this year. Last year's class created an amazing scrapbook album focused on each month of the year. This year's class is called Happiness is Here. I love that Stampin Up gave us sneak peaks of the pages this year. You can see them below. I like this year's album that it's less focused on each month and instead you can scrap various occasions through the … [Read more...] about Virtual Album Retreat Coming Soon
Remembering Christmas Kit
One of the recent Stampin Up Kits Collection kits is Remembering Christmas. This kit is a mini scrapbook kit that you can use to save your memories of the Holidays. I recently got the kit out to start assembling it. But before I show you what it looks like, I want to share the contents. The kit includes the red album on the left and the insert pages on the right. You also get a lot of pages with the embellishments and letters to … [Read more...] about Remembering Christmas Kit
Virtual Album Retreat-Part 2
Happy Friday! I'm back today with Part 2 of the Virtual Album Retreat. I wanted to share my thoughts on the Retreat. As I mentioned, the Virtual Retreat took place over three days, with each "session" lasting around 8ish hours. That's about 24 hours worth of crafting and instruction. You could check in for any portion as you had time and then watch the videos in replay later. The how-to videos are lengthy because they want you to have time … [Read more...] about Virtual Album Retreat-Part 2
Virtual Album Retreat-Part 1
Stampin Up recently held their very first Virtual Album Retreat. This was a scrapbook retreat held online via video over three days. The videos were live and you could craft along with the presenters. I'm going to share a couple of the pages. The projects are two page spreads for each month of the year. They recommend having pictures ready to go for an entire year and then you can glue them in as you make your pages. Instead, I recommend … [Read more...] about Virtual Album Retreat-Part 1
Measurements
Happy Monday! I received a couple requests for the dimensions of the mini suitcase scrapbook that I shared on Friday. This really is an easy project once you have the dimensions figured out. Below is a quick and easy pattern for you. The solid lines are cut lines, the dashed lines are score lines. Start with an 8.5x11" sheet of card stock. Start by scoring the three sections. Then you'll cut your 3" strips. You could cut first, but then you'll … [Read more...] about Measurements
National Scrapbook Day
Did you know tomorrow is National Scrapbook Day? I used to be a 12x12 scrapbooker. Then a number of years ago, I switched to the pocket pages. They are amazing for getting your pages done quickly. I used to be one of those that wanted to create amazing artwork. Now I love having completed albums. This is page I made recently for a 6x8 page in a pocket album. Even though it's not the large 12x12 format, I can still use my creativity to … [Read more...] about National Scrapbook Day
The Miniest of Mini Scrapbooks
On Monday, I promised to share the mini album that I made from the Suitcase Treat Box. This is what the outside of the box looks like decorated. This is what it looks like when you open the suitcase. It was really easy to add some card stock to the inside and create a fold-out album. I used two strips of pink card stock and glued them end to end to make one long strip. The top of the strip is glued to the inside of the lid. The … [Read more...] about The Miniest of Mini Scrapbooks
