Every Fall I try to make at least one Halloween home décor piece to add to my collection. And each year, I try to make something different. This year I made a small witch’s hat. Witch's hats are so easy to make. The witch's hat started as a plain chipboard cone from the local craft store. My cone is approximately 7" tall. I cut a piece of the Spooky Night paper to fit around the outside of the cone. I cut the paper on the diagonal so the corner … [Read more...] about Which Witch?

Spooky Treats
This past weekend I had a table at the Just Crop Retreats. I really look forward to seeing these ladies every month. If you're looking for a crafty weekend away with your friends or even by yourself, you should try one of Rachel's retreats. The ladies are always so welcoming and fun. I don't stay for the whole weekend because of my kids' crazy schedules, but I appreciate the time I get to spend with these crafters. One of my Make … [Read more...] about Spooky Treats
Eeek! Halloween is Right Around The Corner
I am so excited that the Holiday Catalog is now LIVE to customers. There are so many amazing things in the Catalog this year. I hope you've been saving up, because your wish list is going to be huge. I usually start off September with Halloween and Fall projects. But don't worry, I'll be sprinkling in some Christmas and Winter projects here and there too. I know that people like to get an early start on their Holiday cards. Today's project … [Read more...] about Eeek! Halloween is Right Around The Corner
One Last Halloween Hurrah
Happy Halloween! Today I'm sharing my final Halloween project for the year. This is a quick and simple card you can make for your favorite little monster. This pumpkin is from the Jar of Haunts stamp set. After I stamped my pumpkin, I used my aqua painter to add a little Smoky Slate to make a "ground" for the pumpkin to sit on. It's a little hard to see, but there is a mini tassel tied onto the Halloween Bakers Twine.Sorry today's post is so … [Read more...] about One Last Halloween Hurrah
Five Minute Friday – I’ve Got My Eyes On You
Today's Five Minute Friday project is something I made a couple weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to share it here yet. Mason jars and mason jar crafts are so popular right now so it's no surprise Stampin Up released a great Holiday mason jar stamp set. Today's project uses the new Jar of Haunts stamp set and the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits. The images in the stamp set are frighteningly good. And my favorite is the floating … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – I’ve Got My Eyes On You
Service To Others
I don't talk about it very often here, but there is nothing like the good feeling you get when in service for others. I don't do what I do because I expect to hear a thank you or receive some kind of reciprocation. I do what I do to encourage and help others. Actually that is a large portion of what I do. Encouraging others. Sure, I love playing with paper and stamps and ink. But what I love more is igniting that spark of delight in someone … [Read more...] about Service To Others
20,000,000 Pounds…
Nope, it's not the amount of weight people will gain during the Holiday Season. It's the amount of Halloween candy purchased every year by Americans. To give you a visual on what 20,000,000 pounds of candy looks like, an average size car weighs about 4,000 pounds. You would need 5,000 cars to equal the 20,000,000 pounds. That's a ton of cars. I don't usually make treat holders for my Halloween candy. We pass out too much candy to make that … [Read more...] about 20,000,000 Pounds…

Did you know that Americans spend $1.9 billion dollars on Halloween candy every year? That’s $1,900,000,000. On Candy. Oh. My. Goodness. That’s a lot of candy. I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking where are you going to put all that candy before you eat it pass it out. Well, I have a couple ideas for candy storage. Today’s project is an adorable wood coffin that I’ve decorated.
