Graduation Season has arrived. Although where you are it may have already come and gone. But here in Southern California, we start late and end late. We still have three more weeks of school, but it's not too early to start working on some ideas. This June our daughter graduates from 8th grade/Middle School. Next year, she'll be in High School. It's kinda funny, but her Middle School is the only school in our area that does not have a formal … [Read more...] about Graduation Season
Five Minute Friday – Birthday Style
I've made a lot of birthday cards in the last couple months. A lot. I'm trying to branch out from using so many cakes, candles, or balloons. As I was looking through my supplies, I knew just what to use! I bought the Sunburst die months ago because I know it would look great on a card. Sad reality here, I never got around to using it until today. Can you believe that? Please tell me I'm not the only one that buys craft supplies and hoards delays … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Birthday Style
Moroccan Nights
Only 6 more days until the new Catalog starts and I am so excited! Stampin Up has come up with some seriously cute stuff in the new Catalog and I can't wait to get it. All of it! Ok, maybe not quite all of it, but I'm definitely ordering the cupcake stamp set that I showed on Monday and the new Foxy Friends with coordinating punch too. Who am I kidding? Every time I open the new catalog, I add something new to my wish list. Today's stamp set … [Read more...] about Moroccan Nights
Failure is not an option
At OnStage in April, Sara Douglass (our CEO) demonstrated an awesome technique to make a mixed media medium. It dries hard and creates an amazing texture. It really gives an incredible 3D look, specially with the stamp set that she used. Here is the sample she that she made to show us. Seriously SO cute! I love the dimension of the frosting. She knew we'd all want to recreate this technique and gave us her recipe: corn starch, white glue, … [Read more...] about Failure is not an option
Five Minute Friday
Every month I get together with my Stampin Up Downlines and it is one of my absolute favorite evenings of the month. These ladies get it. They understand and share in my crafty desire to play with stamps, ink, and paper and make things. It’s such a blessing to have these ladies in my life. Even if we were not Stampin Up Demonstrators any longer, I can't imagine not having them in my life. Last night was our May Downline meeting and it was a … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
Grateful for Friends
Last Sunday I attended my very first MeetUp. Have you heard of these? If you look them up online, MeetUps are groups of people that share a common interest and get together to partake in that activity. There’s all sorts of MeetUp groups – hiking, biking, crafting, and lots more. It’s such an awesome way to meet people who share a common interest. This past Sunday’s Meet Up was for a group of people that decorate their planners. I know you’re … [Read more...] about Grateful for Friends

Five Minute Friday
Did you know there’s only little more than two weeks left of May? Yikes! Where does the time go? The end of the school year is always really busy for us: wrapping up our soccer and track seasons, end of year school activities, team award banquets for both school and extracurricular teams, awards nights for schools, and the list goes on. Sometimes, the only way I can get cards made is if I don't set my sights too high. Geeze, that sounds bad. What … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
