No Tricks Here

August 17, 2018 by Diane Leave a Comment

The saga of the broken washer continues… it’s still not working. I have one more avenue to try for repairing it on my own. Someone messaged me that I’m nuts for trying this on my own. But, the washer is about 15 years old and if it needs any kind of repair that’s more than a hundred dollars, it’s frankly not worth investing it in a 15+ year old machine. And, I figure I certainly can’t make it any worse. It already doesn’t work. 🙂

On to today’s project… I’m usually one of the those people that resists breaking out the Fall and Halloween décor until mid-September. Once I pull out the Fall decorations, it seems that the rest of the Holidays are right behind it. And if I can delay Fall just a little bit, then Christmas seems a little further away.

Despite all that, I was pretty excited to play with the new Halloween stuff that’s in the Holiday Catalog. As a Demonstrator, I get to order it a little early so I’m all ready to show customers when the Catalog begins on 9/5. For today, I’m sharing a super easy treat holder. This are great for passing out treats. If you have to make a bunch of these for your kiddos, they are simple enough that you can have them help you.

Then you decorate the matchbook cover with whatever Halloween stamps and punches you have. I used the witchy dog stamp on my treat. I’m a sucker for anything dog related. And a dog in costume? I’m sold!

Paper is cut to 3.5 x 6.5”. Then scored at .5, 3.50. and 3.75”. Fold in at all your score lines and you should end up with something that resembles a matchbook. Candies in bags like M&Ms or Skittles work best with this treat holder. You’ll want to staple the treats in the matchbook so they stay put. Such a quick and easy treat holder that’s perfect for mass production.

Our Bonus Days special is a great chance to stock up on what you need now, and then get something at a discount in September. For every $50 you spend before August 31 (before shipping and tax), you will earn a $5 Bonus Days coupon code that can be used September 1–30. There is no limit to the amount of $5 Bonus Bucks you can earn and they can all be used at the same time! The Bonus Buck coupons are sent out by email to you once you place your order. Make sure you keep that email in a safe place as Stampin Up does not track those coupon codes.

Our Color Your Season promo is available only while supplies last or August 31st. Don’t wait until it’s too late to get these amazing products!
