My matchbook treat holder is a popular one. The best thing about this treat holder is the ease and the cost. You can make a number of these with a bag of candy and just a few supplies.
This is what it looks like closed. The top front flap tucks into the bottom flap.
Here is what it looks like open. The candy is stapled into the matchbook. I find this is the easiest way to keep it in place. Then the Trick or Treat is glued across the top of the staple to hide it.
As I mentioned, you can make a number of these easily. Here is the pattern that I use for this. You can get four of these out of one 8.5×11″ sheet of paper. I score the entire sheet at one time. Score at .75″, 4.5″, and 4.75″. Then trim off the last 1″. Once you card stock is scored, rotate it and cut it apart at every 2.75″.
Now you have four of these ready for decorating. And your favorite pattern paper and embellishments and you’re ready to go!
