A few weeks ago, one of Stampin Up’s artists posted a similar card to this one I’m sharing today. Melody has such a fun, creative style – it’s no wonder she’s a professional artist. I took her idea with the sweet monster hiding behind a wall and made my own card.
This little guy is actually quite short. I stretched him out to better fit my card. To do this, I covered the bottom half of the stamp with a post-it and inked only the top and stamped it. Then I thoroughly cleaned the stamp. I covered the top of the stamp and inked only the bottom and stamp it. This allowed me to create a taller wall for him to stand behind. For the hands, I stamped those on a separate piece of card stock and cut them out. I did have to reverse the hands so they were facing the correct direction (the left hand is now on the right side and vice-versa). I positioned the hands just so you couldn’t tell the thumbs are on the wrong side. I left enough “arm” on the hands so it looks like they are reaching over the top of the wall. You can see his pretty blue eyes and just a hint of smile here. What a cutie!
