I love the way our stamped images look cut out, but I don't always love to cut them out with scissors. Hand cutting it with scissors can take so much time. One of my favorite tools that I use ALL the time is our die cut machine. And even better, we have two different machines to choose from. We have our full size machine, perfect for die cutting, embossing, etc. And, we have a brand new Mini machine. The Mini machine looks just like the … [Read more...] about Do You Die Cut?
Hooray! It’s finally here! Stampin Up’s brand new Paper Trimmer is now available for purchase. I’ve been using it now for a couple weeks and I’m pleased with the results. The new Trimmer has a taller blade, which is great for a couple reasons. The first reason is that the blade will actually last longer than our previous blade. The second reason is that since it lasts longer, it’s more economical since you’ll need fewer replacement blades. And … [Read more...] about The Brand New Paper Trimmer

I had to share this awesome idea I received from Lyndi at our last Demonstrator Meeting. This was the swap she made for our last get together. I thought this would be a perfect share for Work It Wednesday since it uses a specific tool: the exacto knife. Stampin Up no longer sells an exacto knife, but you can find them at craft stores or office supply stores. They come in lots of styles and shapes. Here is a picture of the card closed. In this week’s Work It Wednesday, I’m talking about punches. There are about a million different choices in a sorts of shapes and sizes. Do you need punches to make your crafty life complete? Absolutely! Do you need ALL the punches? Absolutely! Okay, maybe not ALL of them. My usual criteria for Tools doesn't totally translate to an entire category of tools, but we'll give it a shot. Last week I showed you the Precision Base Plate and in that Post, I mentioned another tool called the Big Shot Die Brush. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to talk about this tool since I mentioned it last week and said that you use it in conjunction with the Precision Base Plate. The Big Shot Die Brush was just released in the current Occasions Catalog. The price for the brush is $11 (a little less if you're a Stampin Up … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Big Shot Die Brush
Do you remember a TV show from about 15 years ago that had two guys that did movie reviews? The two reviewers would watch a movie and then give their "thumbs up" telling you that you needed to see this movie or "thumbs down" meaning you'd probably want to pass on it. How awesome would that be if you had the same thing when you were considering new craft tools! Let's face it, some of these craft tools are expensive. And just how many do you really … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday
