Years ago, when I first started working a “real” job after college, I worked in an office with the nicest group of ladies. We all got along so well! We took trips together, outings, dinners, weddings, babies, and supported each other through life’s ups and downs. Eventually one by one, we all left that Company but we made it a point to stay in touch with each other. And for more than a decade now, we still get together to have dinner once a … [Read more...] about So Lucky

Why do things the hard way?
My Mom used to tell me that if there was an easy way or a hard way to do something, I was more likely to pick the hard way. I'm not sure what that really says about me. Okay, maybe I do over-complicate things sometimes (my friends are probably laughing and nodding right about now). On Monday, I showed you how to do the fabulous Inlay Diecut Technique (you can read about that here). A friend of mine, Poli mentioned to me tonight that you could … [Read more...] about Why do things the hard way?
Quick and Easy!
Since Monday's post was longer, I'm keeping it simple today and I'm giving you TWO cards for the price of one. Bonus! I'm using the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and Rose Garden Thinlet dies again today. I wanted to give you some more ideas for these two items because I know you're thinking you really don't need another flower set. But, I'm telling you - you need this one! This first card is very similar to one in the Occasions Catalog. I did change … [Read more...] about Quick and Easy!
Making Your Own Rose Garden
Growing up, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ house being amazed at everything growing in their garden. They had vegetables, fruits, flowers – everything. I can remember helping my grandmother pick whatever vegetables we were going to have for dinner that evening. To a small child, it felt like a jungle! My grandfather was a botanist and was blessed with the ability to grow anything. After my grandfather passed, my grandmother slowly did … [Read more...] about Making Your Own Rose Garden
HB2U
Lately, I’ve noticed it’s easier to track someone down by texting them rather than calling them. Even though they may have their cell phone with them, they may not be in a place where they can actually take a phone call (bathroom anyone?). Aww, come on! You know you’ve taken your phone with you to the bathroom at least once this week. The second die in the Party Pop-Up Thinlet set reminds me of a text message! It totally looks like a … [Read more...] about HB2U
Another Birthday Already ?
On Monday, I showed you a couple ideas using the Party Pop-Up Thinlet dies just as they are intended. I made a couple different pop-up cards and then I thought, what else can I do with these dies? I can’t make pop-ups for everyone because then they start to look too similar. I really like the idea of using the big Happy Birthday as a giant cake on the front of the card. All you need to do is trim the six little “arms” and you’ve got a giant … [Read more...] about Another Birthday Already ?
Black Christmas Part Two!
So I mentioned last week that I wasn't so fond the black Holiday paper when I first saw it in the Holiday Catalog. But that I did get it out to use it and was actually very pleased with the results for my card. (Yes, I realize that Christmas has come and gone and I'm sharing yet another Christmas project. But, I wanted to show that you can reuse your great ideas again and again.) We were invited to attend a Christmas party earlier this month … [Read more...] about Black Christmas Part Two!
A Little Thanks Goes A Long Way
Now that Christmas has past, I’m in need of some thank you cards to send out. I wanted something quick and easy and mail-able without extra postage. Don’t get me wrong – I love cards with lots of layers and embellishments. But they are typically not something I want to make half a dozen of. And then I take the chance of them being crushed in the mail or requiring extra postage. Ugh. I was looking through the Stampin Up Sale-aBration Catalog … [Read more...] about A Little Thanks Goes A Long Way
