Or a couple years. I love that feature on Facebook that reminds you to share your memories again. It really shows just how much things can change. Or maybe stay the same. Yesterday I had about 10 memories come up, which is quite a few for one day. And they all centered on one thing: my daughter's birthday. It was really amazing to see how much she's changed through the years. Here she is on her last five birthdays, from 10 years old to … [Read more...] about What A Difference A Year Makes

Pin-spiration
I love Pinterest. When I first started using Pinterest, I was on it ALL. THE. TIME. No, seriously I was. Just ask my friends who followed me on Pinterest. I had to quit cold turkey several years ago when I realized I had over 20,000 pins. No, that is NOT a typo. I spent crazy amounts of time spent pinning. Obviously. The past several months I have been easing back into Pinterest because I love the purpose that it serves. Pinterest is an … [Read more...] about Pin-spiration
A Little Mermaid Turns One
Last week, a girlfriend's daughter turned ONE. She is such an adorable baby. She had a mermaid-themed birthday party complete with a small waterside for the bigger kids (by bigger, I mean 4 year olds). The mermaid also took a couple turns on the waterslide and she loved it too. Wouldn't you know it, I do not have one single mermaid stamp in my stash. I may have to fix that problem, but for now, I had to make do with what I have. I pulled out … [Read more...] about A Little Mermaid Turns One
Five Minute Friday – Birthday Style
I've made a lot of birthday cards in the last couple months. A lot. I'm trying to branch out from using so many cakes, candles, or balloons. As I was looking through my supplies, I knew just what to use! I bought the Sunburst die months ago because I know it would look great on a card. Sad reality here, I never got around to using it until today. Can you believe that? Please tell me I'm not the only one that buys craft supplies and hoards delays … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Birthday Style
Did You Sign Up for A Birthday Card?
A few weeks ago, I mentioned that Stampin Up was promoting getting back into the habit of mailing birthday cards (you can read that post here). It kind of seems like an obvious thing, considering we are in the business of promoting hand made cards. I know I'm guilty of doing the quickie FB "happy birthday" greeting like so many others and very few cards actually get mailed out. In honor of Stampin Up pushing promoting birthday cards, I invited … [Read more...] about Did You Sign Up for A Birthday Card?
Work It Wednesday – Heat Tool
For today’s work it Wednesday, I’m reviewing the Heat Tool. This ties in beautifully with another one of my swaps for OnStage. The Heat Tool is $30. It melts embossing powder and Heat & Stick Powder. The Stampin Up Heat Tool is slim, sleek, quiet, and easy to hold. It has 2 heat settings: low for drying ink, high for heat-setting powder. It also has a protective plastic tip to cover the hot metal end. The Heat Tool is must-have item for … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Heat Tool
Happy Monday!
Only two more sleeps until I leave for OnStage on Wednesday! Yay! This week, I'm sharing my swaps that I'm taking with me to OnStage. I have to be honest...making swaps this year was a little tricky. In past years, the retiring products list would come out weeks before we left and we'd get a small preview list that we could purchase from prior to Convention. This year, the retiring products list comes out after Convention - same with the … [Read more...] about Happy Monday!
Work It Wednesday – Punches
In this week’s Work It Wednesday, I’m talking about punches. There are about a million different choices in a sorts of shapes and sizes. Do you need punches to make your crafty life complete? Absolutely! Do you need ALL the punches? Absolutely! Okay, maybe not ALL of them. My usual criteria for Tools doesn't totally translate to an entire category of tools, but we'll give it a shot. How big is the learning curve? Punches are usually self … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Punches
