As I mentioned on Monday, it is officially party week at my house. I have four Holiday parties this week, three of which are here at my house. Monday's party was absolutely fabulous! Poli hosted a Paint and Vino night here in my studio. We had the best time. You can see the instructor's painting laying on the edge of the table. Below is my version. I'm not much of a painter, that's my daughter's talent. The sky is supposed to be reminiscent … [Read more...] about It’s Party Week Here In The Studio
Today, I have another sneak peak of an upcoming new product in the Occasions Catalog. This was a birthday card that I made for the OnStage Display earlier this month. This new Party Animal Suite is pretty fabulous. I love the bright, bold pattern papers and the Balloon Adventures stamp set has some great sentiments included. This card is a relatively simple design. The pattern on the paper is so big that I wanted to keep it my focal point … [Read more...] about OnStage Display – Another Sneak Peak
Today we leave for OnStage in Phoenix. This is a one day event put on by Stampin Up for active Demonstrators. You’re probably wondering why we take the time and trouble to attend a one day event six hours away from us. Honestly, there is nothing like these events to inspire and motivate me. I love attending Stampin Up events. Saturday’s event will be filled with business tips, stamping presentations, and recognition for various achievements. W … [Read more...] about OnStage – Phoenix
Or a couple years. I love that feature on Facebook that reminds you to share your memories again. It really shows just how much things can change. Or maybe stay the same. Yesterday I had about 10 memories come up, which is quite a few for one day. And they all centered on one thing: my daughter's birthday. It was really amazing to see how much she's changed through the years. Here she is on her last five birthdays, from 10 years old to f … [Read more...] about What A Difference A Year Makes
I love Pinterest. When I first started using Pinterest, I was on it ALL. THE. TIME. No, seriously I was. Just ask my friends who followed me on Pinterest. I had to quit cold turkey several years ago when I realized I had over 20,000 pins. No, that is NOT a typo. I spent crazy amounts of time spent pinning. Obviously. The past several months I have been easing back into Pinterest because I love the purpose that it serves. Pinterest is an … [Read more...] about Pin-spiration
Last week, a girlfriend's daughter turned ONE. She is such an adorable baby. She had a mermaid-themed birthday party complete with a small waterside for the bigger kids (by bigger, I mean 4 year olds). The mermaid also took a couple turns on the waterslide and she loved it too. Wouldn't you know it, I do not have one single mermaid stamp in my stash. I may have to fix that problem, but for now, I had to make do with what I have. I pulled out my … [Read more...] about A Little Mermaid Turns One
I've made a lot of birthday cards in the last couple months. A lot. I'm trying to branch out from using so many cakes, candles, or balloons. As I was looking through my supplies, I knew just what to use! I bought the Sunburst die months ago because I know it would look great on a card. Sad reality here, I never got around to using it until today. Can you believe that? Please tell me I'm not the only one that buys craft supplies and hoards delays u … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Birthday Style
A few weeks ago, I mentioned that Stampin Up was promoting getting back into the habit of mailing birthday cards (you can read that post here). It kind of seems like an obvious thing, considering we are in the business of promoting hand made cards. I know I'm guilty of doing the quickie FB "happy birthday" greeting like so many others and very few cards actually get mailed out. In honor of Stampin Up pushing promoting birthday cards, I invited … [Read more...] about Did You Sign Up for A Birthday Card?
