Today we leave for OnStage in Phoenix. This is a one day event put on by Stampin Up for active Demonstrators. You’re probably wondering why we take the time and trouble to attend a one day event six hours away from us. Honestly, there is nothing like these events to inspire and motivate me. I love attending Stampin Up events. Saturday’s event will be filled with business tips, stamping presentations, and recognition for various achievements. … [Read more...] about OnStage – Phoenix
What A Difference A Year Makes
Or a couple years. I love that feature on Facebook that reminds you to share your memories again. It really shows just how much things can change. Or maybe stay the same. Yesterday I had about 10 memories come up, which is quite a few for one day. And they all centered on one thing: my daughter's birthday. It was really amazing to see how much she's changed through the years. Here she is on her last five birthdays, from 10 years old to … [Read more...] about What A Difference A Year Makes
One Last Halloween Hurrah
Happy Halloween! Today I'm sharing my final Halloween project for the year. This is a quick and simple card you can make for your favorite little monster. This pumpkin is from the Jar of Haunts stamp set. After I stamped my pumpkin, I used my aqua painter to add a little Smoky Slate to make a "ground" for the pumpkin to sit on. It's a little hard to see, but there is a mini tassel tied onto the Halloween Bakers Twine.Sorry today's post is so … [Read more...] about One Last Halloween Hurrah
More Gift Card Holders
When I was in the process of making all those coffee gift card holders, I decided I better make some larger gift card holders as well. So many stores have gone to those gift cards that are 4x5". Today's project fits that larger gift card size and they are large enough that you could tuck a little something else inside too.I made two different versions of these, using different pattern paper on the outside and a different color insert on the … [Read more...] about More Gift Card Holders
Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
Recently, I was at the local store and saw a distressed wooden reindeer plaque. I thought they were cute, but had no idea how to decorate it. Moving down the aisle, I came across a bucket of plastic lightbulbs. Then the wheels started turning... For this project, you'll need one reindeer plaque, a plastic pretend lightbulb, a short string of led lights, red paint, a power drill, and a hot glue gun. The led lights should have a battery pack … [Read more...] about Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
Holiday Boutique Recap
This past Friday and Saturday was the Holiday Boutique that we've been prepping for the last number of weeks. I still have a couple projects from the booth that I haven't shared yet and will get to those soon. In the meantime, here are the pictures of the booth set-up. There were five of us making cards and products for the booth. We did end up with a wide variety of items. This was our wall of cards. Such an awesome idea to string them up like … [Read more...] about Holiday Boutique Recap
Hooray, Hooray, Today is the Day!
The Holiday Boutique is finally here. It starts this afternoon and continues all day Saturday. I have been a crazy crafting fiend lately. After all the long hours I've put into creating products for the booth, I am so thankful that I wasn't the only person creating products. Making one of something doesn't take a lot of time. But making a dozen or even several dozen of something takes hours. And hours. Several weeks ago, I shared my Fall … [Read more...] about Hooray, Hooray, Today is the Day!
It’s Crunch Time
And no, I'm not referring to those awful exercises. I'm talking about the last week before the Holiday Boutique and working on my projects for the OnStage Displays in three weeks (yikes!). Everything else is on the back burner for now. I'm foreseeing more than a few late nights in the coming weeks. Here is a quick peak at my progress this past weekend... Lots of antlers and gold paint. Those four gold circles are actually slices from a … [Read more...] about It’s Crunch Time
