Did you know that unicorns are real? I’m talking about the unicorns of the sea – Narwhals. They look like a giant whale with a unicorn horn. The male Narwhal has a tusk that grows right out of their mouth and can get to be up to 8′ long. If you look up pictures of them online, they look amazing, like this unbelievable mythic creature of the sea. But they are real.
I love that the Quirky Critters stamp sets is all about unique creatures that are almost never featured in a stamp set. And their matching punny sentiments coordinate with the creatures perfectly. The sloth is slow, the birdie is quick, and the narwhal is special.
Today’s card features the Narwhal. To make this card, I stamped the Narwhal twice, once on the blue circle and once on white. I watercolored the Narwhal on the white paper and hand cut him out. He is glued directly over the top of the grey one on the blue circle. I tried to stamp just the “You Are Special” but couldn’t get it lined up just right. 
I used Soft Sky bubbles paper from the Foil Frenzy pack of paper to make it look like he’s swimming in water. I love those shiny bubbles. A little bit of ribbon and sequin trim finish off the card.
