Today’s project is a Halloween décor piece that I’ve been working on and off for a couple weeks now. Last night I put the finishing touches on it and I’m calling it done! First, let me explain how this project came about. I recently attended a scrapbook class at a local store and the store had tons of ideas sprinkled around the room. One of the ideas was a mini Halloween album with a 3D coffin on the front of the album. I loved this idea, adding … [Read more...] about Looking for a place to rest?
Break Out Your Plaid
Now that it's officially Fall, it's perfectly acceptable to cover your porch in pumpkins and hay bales. I love the bright Fall colors you see everywhere, but here in SoCal our Fall is typically 80's, if not 90's. It doesn't usually get quite cold enough to turn our trees to the bright Fall colors you see in other States. But, the leaves definitely Fall off the trees. Since the trees in my yard are still bright green, I've got to make my … [Read more...] about Break Out Your Plaid

It’s Almost Pumpkin Time
As we speed along to the end of September (you can feel it, can't you?), it's time to start thinking about your Halloween decor. I'm one of those people who like to make their own decor, so I can match and coordinate things just so. Today's project is my Spooky Frame. I love how this artwork turned out. It's just as I envisioned. Our Halloween products are pretty great this year. They all coordinate really well so you can mix and match … [Read more...] about It’s Almost Pumpkin Time
Team Candy Corn?
Candy Corn seems to be one of those polarizing candies. You either love it. Or you hate it. In fact, my friend Annette recently shared a candy corn joke. Instructions for eating candy corn... Step one: Open bag. Step two: Pour bag into trash can. Step three: Eat peanut butter cup instead. This is totally me! I do not love candy corn. In fact I use it for vase fillers or things like today's project... Ta-da! A … [Read more...] about Team Candy Corn?
August Paper Pumpkin Revisited
Today, I have an alternate project using the August Paper Pumpkin kit. The flower cards in the August kit are so very pretty that I was tempted to make all of them just like the instructions. But I really like the idea of creating something new out of the kit pieces so you have more ideas to work with if a kit just doesn't speak to you as is. A super easy idea is to make the kit into a framable piece of art work. Each month I can make … [Read more...] about August Paper Pumpkin Revisited

A Bouquet for You!
Since it's Monday, I thought you'd like some flowers to start your week off right. Last week, when I was making cards from the Frosted Floral bundle, I ended up with a ton of flowers and greenery. I knew I had plenty to make at least one more card. Actually, it turns out I have enough to make several more cards. I love when a stamp set is so easy to use. To make the bouquet, I started by arranging the leaves on the bottom. Then added the … [Read more...] about A Bouquet for You!
