When you need an elegant card, the Stitched Lace background die is the perfect choice. This one die is big enough to cover an entire card front at 5-7/8″ x 4-5/16″. It is so pretty that it hardly needs anything else on the card. For today’s card, I wanted to keep the focus on that amazing Stitched Lace. So gorgeous!
When using this die, I highly recommend the die brush to go with it. Our new die brush fastens into the top of the Take Your Pick tool. So you’ll want to purchase both pieces. The die brush is a brush that you use across the die cut image. You roll the die brush across the image and the brush bristles punch out all the little pieces that didn’t just fall out. I found that I need a little extra help getting all those little circles and ovals out of the paper.
Today’s magnolia was colored using the Stampin Blends markers. I started with just a small hint of Rococo Rose at the base of the petals and then added in a bit of Dark Petal Pink on top and then smoothed both colors using the Light Petal Pink to the bottom 3/4ths of the petals. The very top of the petals is not colored. The leaves are colored with both Light and Dark Mossy Meadow.
The Stitched Lace die is perfect for so many occasions: weddings, anniversaries, bridal showers, or congratulations. With this die, a bit of ribbon, and a small focal point, you too can make this same lovely card.
