Last night was our monthly Downline meeting. I love getting together every month with these amazing ladies. Everyone of them is unique and has their special talents. I treasure my friendship with each of them. We always have a fabulous time together.
This is my swap card for last night’s meeting. You might notice the shape of this card is a little different from the usual size. This card is square! It will still fit in one of our standard size envelopes. Occasionally, it’s nice to do something a little different than the usual.
The brand new Pop of Petals stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The stamp set has a coordinating punch for the flowers and anytime we have a punch that matches, it makes card making a cinch. Stamp some flowers, punch them out, and you have a winner of a card. 
The stems for the flowers come from the Bouquet Bunch framelits set. I glued the flowers to stems using my fine-tip glue pen. Then I added dimensionals to the back to make them look 3D. The ribbon is tied around the stems just like you would see on a real bouquet.
For this card, I used my absolute favorite sentiment in the new catalog… “kindness changes everything”. Have you ever noticed that smiles, like yawns, are contagious? It takes so little effort to smile at someone. And when you do, they usually can’t help themselves and they will smile back at you. When you smile, you feel good. When you feel good, you want to do good. Just that little bit of effort can turn your day around. And it all starts with a little bit of kindness.
