I don’t know why I’m a sucker for vintage typewriters. I’m sure it has to do with fond memories of my grandmother, who used to be a writer. I remember watching her type on an old typewriter. She couldn’t type too fast or the keys would catch each other.
Of course, I haven’t used a typewriter for years. There’s no need anymore with computers, cell phones, and iPads. Still, the nostalgia gets to me occasionally. The sound it made when I typed on her old machine… chuncka-chuncka-chuncka. It was so loud.
If I had a place for it, I think having an old typewriter would be kind of fun to type up little notes. Unfortunately, I don’t have the space at this time. Maybe someday…
