Another round of Customer Thank You cards were sent out last week to everyone that made a purchase at an event or online in my shop. Seriously, this is one of my favorite tasks that I get to do every month. I am so very lucky to have your support.
This time I used the Follow Your Art Suite of products. This stamp set contains some adorable crafty images, like markers, ribbon, and ink refills. What better set to use for customers buying craft supplies!
Today’s card uses our brand new Watercolor paper. Oh my goodness, this paper is amazing. Just look at the vibrant colors! And my paper isn’t all curled up like you sometimes see on watercolor paper. This watercolor paper is a little more expensive than the one we were using the last catalog, but I think this one performs so much better.
I used our new Pigment Sprinkles to make the rainbow background for this card. I used a bunch of clear stamp blocks and sprinkled a bit of each Pigment Sprinkle color on each block. Then using a clean Aqua Painter, I added a line of water to my watercolor paper. I used my aqua painter like a paint brush and dipped it in the pile of sprinkles and then painted across where I put the water on the watercolor paper. I kept repeating until I had as much color as I wanted. It’s better to start out with lighter shades of color and then layer more. You can’t take the color out if you do too much in the beginning. This paper takes so much water and still lies flat. Amazing! Here is what my set-up looked like while I was working. 
One thing to keep in mind if you try this at home, you will either need several aqua painters or you will need to rinse them out in between colors. I worked on a stack of these all at the same time so I could use just one color at a time. Then I washed out my aqua painter and added the next color, and so on.
