Sending out my monthly thank you cards to my customers is truly one of my favorite tasks. But somehow, I am really, really, really late sending out my thank you cards for January. February is a short month, and it took me nearly the entire month to get them done. Yikes!
I wanted to use the Lily Impressions pattern paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog as the background for my card. This paper is so vibrant and bold, that it almost overwhelms the card. I used a layer of vellum across the top to tone down the pattern just a bit and to keep the focus on the Lily on the front of the card.
This card uses three of the Sale-A-Bration items… Lily Impressions pattern paper, Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, and the Lily Pad Dies. The Lovely Lily stamp set is one of our newer Reversible stamp sets. This means that both sides of the stamp can be used. For example, I used the flat back side of the lily flower to stamp the Flirty Flamingo flower background. Then I flipped it over and stamped the Melon Mambo flower outline over the top. The stamp and background don’t line up perfectly and they are not designed to. Instead, it’s intended to give the impression of coloring in the flower. The Lily dies match the flower outline stamp.
The “thanks” stamp is from the Seriously The Best stamp set. I used Melon Mambo for the “thanks” and Flirty Flamingo for the “you’re seriously the best” to match the lily. I also used my Flirty Flamingo Blends marker to color my rhinestones on the card.
Rest assured, my February Thank You cards will not be as late as the January cards. In fact, they are already done and in the mail as well. Yay, me! If you missed out on receiving the January card, rest assured you can still get on the list for the March card. I send cards to every one that makes a purchase either online or at an in person event and to all of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers as well. That’s a lot of cards!
