It’s a Two-For-One Today

First, thank you to everyone that didn’t mind that I took a day off work. Every now and then a break is much needed. Just like I promised on Monday, I’m back today with a simple and lovely card using the Magnolia Lane Suite. Actually, I have two different versions of this same card for you today.

This is the first version of this card. Our pattern paper is just so pretty that I wanted to make it the focus on this card. I originally started with just the white label on the pattern paper, but it was lost in all the flowers. Adding the pink label behind the white really helped the white label stand out from the background. To tie everything together, I colored the flower to match the pattern paper.

This is the second version of the card. Can you see what’s different? It’s a very subtle change from the first card.

For the second card, I added another piece of Petal Pink in between the pattern paper and the green card base. Adding the additional layer of pink card stock enhances the pink in the pattern paper and also minimizes the dark green color.

I know that when we have paper as pretty as this, it’s hard to cut it up and use it. But, why not share that beauty with a friend? Just think how you’d feel opening up an envelope and finding this inside. Share the love! You can always buy more paper.
