Can you believe it’s Halloween today? Where did October go? Nevermind, October… where did September go?!? It amazes me every single year how quickly the end of the year comes once school starts. It feels like I’m wishing the kids a good first day of school and then two days later they are off on Winter Break. I know it’s really not quite that fast, but once we get back into the daily school routine with sports and activities, time really does fly.
In honor of Halloween, I have one last treat holder for you. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Harry Potter, this is him recreated as a takeout box. This particular design is not my own, but when I saw something similar online, I knew I had to make one. And I love how cute it turned out!
To make Harry Potter, you’ll start with making the Takeout Treat box in black. The Takeout Thinlets include most of the items you’ll need to make this, the box, the face, and the scarf. The glasses are the smaller circle in the Stitched Labels dies and the center is cut out using a .75″ circle punch and a small strip of black for the center. The eyes are black sequins from the Metallics Sequins assortment. I found it was easier to glue my glasses together and then glue them onto the box as one piece. You’ll need fine tip glue for the glasses and the eyes.
I’ll be the first to admit that this is probably more complicated than you want to make for all the trick-or-treaters that come to your door. But this is definitely something fun for the special little monster or princess in your life.
