I’m definitely a “glass is half full” kind of person. I’m always looking for the good in others and the positive in any situation. I prefer to have a positive outlook on life and be happy when good things happen. I strongly feel that if you look for the negative, that is exactly what you’re going to find.
And I like wine.
So, it was no surprise that I purchased the Half Full stamp set. One of the sentiments in the set, “may your glass always be half full”, is the reason I purchased the stamp set. It’s kind of funny that I didn’t use it on my first card with this stamp set, but the bigger tag worked better for the space.
To make today’s card, I started by stamping the six wine glasses in Basic Gray in the lower right corner. Then I stamped the rows above and below in Crumb Cake. The Crumb Cake glasses make a lovely background for the card.
For the tag, I used my marker to color it in so I could get the three different colors. The grapes and leaves are colored in using an aqua painter. The tag is hand cut and tied on using the Berry Burst Seam Binding Ribbon. I love the Seam Binding Ribbon. It ties so nicely.
For an extra bit of sparkle, I used a piece of the Foil Frenzy pattern paper in between the card base and the Crumb Cake. I love the metallic look of the Foil Frenzy paper. It gives the card a bit of a shine.
Here is a close up view of the half filled glasses. Once my card was assembled, I used a bit of fine-tip glue on top of the wine to make it shine. If you try this too, be sure to do it at the very end so you don’t smear the fine-tip glue.
I’m working on a couple more ideas with this stamp set. I’m positive they will be fabulous. Don’t worry, I will share them soon.Hosting a holiday catalog event is always fun—and we’ve just sweetened the deal with our exciting Merry Patterns Host Promotion.
