After 18+ months, most my 24-7Inkspiration team of demonstrators got together for our very first in person event. All during Covid, we were meeting via Zoom calls and FB Lives. It was absolutely wonderful to see people in person again and be able to craft together. Patricia did an amazing job hosting all of us with a lovely lunch.
At the event, we had what’s called a shoebox swap. Everyone designs a card/project and brings the supplies for everyone else to make the same card/project. This week, I’m featuring projects designed my team for our recent event.
First up, this card was designed by Poli. This card uses the Floating Strips technique. The strips of pattern paper look like they really are floating on top of the card. To make this card, you’ll start with a piece of our clear Acetate sheets, then glue strips of pattern paper on the Acetate. I love the mix of pattern paper that Poli choose.
Once your strips are glued down, add Foam strips across the back side of the acetate, hiding them behind the pattern paper. Then you’ll glue the whole thing down to a piece of glitter paper that’s the exact same size as the Acetate. Then glue everything to the card base.
Honestly, I was a little intimidated by the number of dies in the Pansy die set. But after assembling the flower for this card, I think I’m ready to try it on my own. I’ll definitely be sharing the Pansy Suite sometime soon.
Check back on Wednesday and I’ll be sharing more projects from our recent get-together. This is definitely a talented group of ladies.
