Hooray for Five Minute Friday, which means quick cards and a quick post today. I am still suffering from jet lag big time. I’m practically falling asleep at work about 2:00 pm and then I’m wide awake about 2:00 am. I’ve tried forcing myself to not take a nap when I get home for work, but I am having a tough time staying awake until 8:30 pm. Anyone have any tried and true cures for jet lag hangover? If so, send them my way!
Before I get to today’s card, I wanted to share something I saw on Instagram today:
I have come to the conclusion
that buying craft supplies and
actually using them are
two separate hobbies.
Is this you? Do you buy stuff with the best of intentions but don’t actually get around to using them? Do you feel guilty because your pile of craft supplies keeps growing, but your stack of finished projects isn’t? Don’t be craft supply hoarder! Cut up that pretty piece of paper. Use those gorgeous embellishments. And stop being stingy with them. Your friends are worth three enamel dots. Show them you care by splurging and giving them a fourth enamel dot.
I have a confession to make. I bought every single pack of Pattern Paper in the current catalog. Eeek! What was I thinking? Well, they were all just sooo pretty and I couldn’t make up my mind which to buy. So I bought all of them. But, I have also made it a point to open up every single package and I have used sheets from all of them. I’m pretty proud of myself for sharing my beautiful paper with all of you.
Today’s card uses both pretty paper and embellishments. This card comes together pretty quickly. The circle is die cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits (I love these dies). The “friend’ is from the Lovely Words thinlets. When you die cut the word, it cuts a frame out around it. I trimmed off the frame and just used the word. Everything is on dimensionals to give it an extra little something. And look at this… I used four enamel dots on this card. Yay, me! I’m on a mission to be better about sharing my supplies. And you should be too. You’re friends are worth it. This card is actually my July Customer Thank You card. If you made a purchase from me last month, you will be getting one of these in the mail. I’m a little late getting them out this month, but they will be in the mail by this weekend. Do you want a handmade card from me? All you have to do is make a purchase from me in person or on my website and you’re automatically on the list. If you didn’t make a purchase in July, you’ve missed out on this card. But don’t worry, I’ll have something just as fabulous for August’s customers.
